  1. I do agree with you that a cosmetic store hinders the visual progression of a game, so i would prefer if it weren't there but i wouldnt really mind it if they actually made the store cosmetics less cool then the ingame ones. Would still prefer it if it wasnt there but i would be ok with it.

  2. Pathfinder is based on Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition, created when Wizards of the Coast went in a different direction for the 4th edition. The game he's referencing should be Pathfinder Kingmaker, which had citybuilding elements and is based on a pregenerated "Adventure Path" for Pathfinder 1st edition.

  3. Was reminded of the family teleport from another video(kinda hope they remove it) and thought scribes might be a better fit for teleport functionality. No long distance stuff, but a teleport scroll to the nearest settlement as a very expensive one time use mastery level item. I know you already covered scribes but I forgot if you mentioned teleporting or not xD

  4. I think these armor bundles are going to be limited edition but when you get it but gear that you earn will be just as cool and have stats that are bound to the cosmetic appearance.

  5. The reason you grew so much is because you don't simply repeat the same information that other channels do. You build on points & provide your personal (valid) views on topics. This is the reason I originally subbed & am convinced you are the best AoC channel currently out there, for this reason 😉

  6. This is the first time I'm not as worried about the cosmetics shop. If they can keep the cosmetics literally for the casuals and make sure the in game earnable always outclass them visually. I'm actually okay with it.

Some people just won't be able to earn the best armors. Time, skill, whatever the situation may be, but if they can spend whatever, 10 bucks and grab a skin that makes them not look like a clown, I don't think thats a bad thing.

Its be like lvl 40 dungeon gear instead of the level 50 raid gear as far as visual styling goes.

Unfortunately it is hard to classify as skins are quite subjective.

So finding the balance will be less easy. If they can however ensure that the end game gear is just freaking amazing then it could work. Cosmetics need to just be "that looks good" but not, "hot damn, I need that".

  8. that one interview from his car on his way to vegas was also the first time i heard about AoC! it was a good interview despite him driving while talking. I've been impressed with the way he explains things and he seems very genuine. He gives hope that AoC will be polished when it is ready to launch. I also like that it's a subscription based monetization without a box fee. it makes it so much more accessible. with good content, people will stick around for longer.

  9. Pathfinder is mostly based off of Dungeons and Dragons 3.5, a sort of patch book meant to flesh out and expand the original 3e. The OGs of Paizo liked 3.5 so much, they made their own version of, even further expanding the in depth builds you can make with it. So much so that it became the unofficial 4e of D&D, especially since the real 4e was such a train wreck. But that's just how Pathfinder started. It's become it's own game that stands on it's own two feet, even when compared to it's older brother D&D. Now Pathfinder has it's own spinoffs and expansions.
I'll always prefer Pathfinder 1e over Starfinder and 2e, much like I'm sure there are people who prefer D&D Advanced Edition over the newer versions.
