  1. Some times I think player feedback kills a game, I wish player feedback was never given for New World. Bare minimum we would at least have an unique game in the PVP genre and not a failing mmo

  2. "Retail WoW has outscaled the playerbase's skill?"
Im sorry, but what is this man talking about? 😀 Has he even played the game in the last months/years? You can literally do the raids without addons. Maybe except the mythic version but those are not designed for the average player.

  3. I can't wait for them to run out of money before this game takes off and accept money from a large publicly traded company and start selling 5,382 micro transactions

  4. Beta soon? naw man, wrong, it'll be 2 years until Beta…. That's me being optimistic, knowing A2 starts in Sept/Oct. after playing in A1.
BUT I will also say that the game will be playable by everyone before 2030.

  5. I hate the character models / armor they've shown so far. And they keep developing more and more armor sets to fit these models, so I'm not sure they're ever going to change.

  6. Combat still looks like ass. it was waaaay better when they had the action combat and were leaning towards a fun and engaging combat system. Now the tab target hybrid trash looks boring and awful. Hybrid combat has NEVER been fun or engaging. when devs fail to make good combat they fall back to boring ass tab targeting. i don't give a fuck about his game at all now because the combat looks so boring. Thanks intrepid, i waited and tested your game for years just to be let down.

  7. Hate to be the one putting rocks on the rails from the hype train, But the combat looks dogshit, MMO's from 2004 have better combat, The graphics arent all that great for a MMO that will most likely release around 2027-28 being optimistic. They are trying so hard to add "unique" systems and features to be different from the others, that im afraid that those systems/features will be their downfall. The models look disgusting, the armor sets look very dissapointing, And the game doesn't really have a solid backbone lore behind it to further immerse people that are interested in the lore. I hope it'll be good, but its not something you'd expect from the hype and build-up. Yes, I get it, Its "alpha".

  8. I'll be happy if the game is good in the end but the combat still looks clunky af and doesn't ''feel'' fluid at all.
EDIT: Also AoC seems pretty complex and not noob friendly at all so I find hard to see this game appealing to a massive audience.

  9. The thing about the console triggering events is, odds are, the code they have for the events is based off of a 'tally' system. A certain amount of quests need to be done a certain amount of times, likely hundreds of thousands of times given the general desired audience size of MMO's, for that event to trigger. In other words, it's not really possible for the devs to 'naturally' trigger it, the console is the only way.

Either that or it's just not complete yet and the console is currently acting as the psuedo trigger.

  10. Imo it already looks somewhat outdated add onto that that it probably wont come out within the next 5 years i have already lost interest. Have a feeling its going to be Diablo 4 all over huge hype big disappointment 🤔

  11. What I'm really looking for in this game is PVP scenarios. That's the only thing that'll keep me playing. Proper objective-based battlegrounds like in Mordhau or Chivalry where you have goals to achieve, but can also hinder the enemy in achieving theirs.

  12. The scripted nature of these world events can not exist without scripting defining what actions are supposed to unfold based on player actions. The world is changing because of player actions dictating WHICH scripts get run. To even get to that point, though, first you have to script the events! So, of course, it's going to be scripted. That's how game interactions work! Once you prove the scripts work, then you work on connecting them to nodes to set up the dynamism of it all. So, essentially, the script commands means literally nothing, that's just basic game design.
