We got a lot of information during the April Ashes of Creation Livestream, especially that it looks like Siege Mode will be tested in Alpha 1 now instead of in Apocalypse. We also saw a lot of cosmetics that have been shown off before and are now just getting their final passes. We also got some pretty specific expectations from Steven in regards to what they are expecting from their Alpha testers. Finally we found out that Alpha 1 Sales are going to reopen on 5 May.

I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about the graphics… I think they look absolutely amazing.
3 days till i get to swipe. Can't wait. Pretty awesome that they could convert the code from APOC to the A1 client. That'll be super cool to see 😀
I just realized the recent video gave me some 'Dragon Age' vibes. I don't mean the dragon itself but the art style, movement and overall aesthetic.
Am I alone in this?

What people need to understand is what Alpha is designed to test, it tests core systems. The polish will come later once they have time to address any deficiencies with the mechanics.
Steven saying that you shouldn't buy the alpha 1 unless you are doing the due diligence of being a tester honestly made me happy to hear. As he said you don't hear that very often from a company which makes me think highly of him because it shows he is passionate about his game. Passion is the most important trait I look for in a dev team.
I dont expect miracle from alpha 1,but i want to see finally real gameplay,farm,maybe dungeons and pvp 🙂

I don't understand the point of having a cooldown timer on cosmetics that you already spent 25$ on, especially considering…you can only play one character at a time anyways? lol…it makes no sense to me. If I want to use my February Crown cosmetic on one character and then go play on my alt and use it on them too, I shouldn't have to wait X amount of time. And it's not like they are letting people buy multiples of cosmetics anyways so there's no way to bypass it… I also feel like it's just an unnecessary restriction that opens the way for some silly Cash Shop "solution" to it like an "Outfit Swap Token" that you can buy to swap cosmetics without a cooldown. Just seems entirely unnecessary and unfun to me. I keep seeing negative feedback about it though in the Discord and Reddit so hopefully they change their stance on it. It's probably the one stance Steven has that I don't agree with.
Jahlon, out of curiosity, do you think there's any chance Intrepid would allow for a skin marketplace controlled by them to allow people to buy/sell skins they own, something similar to Steam Market? What's your opinion on it?
I do not like how RMT can affect games, especially MMOs (bots, hacking, etc) but at the same time I would like to be able to sell skins I have and buy skins I don't have (and won't be available again), although we all knew skins would probably be untradeable and account bound when we bought them.

Does anyone else feel weird with the idea of paying to test an alpha.
It feels like a 2nd job you have to pay for.
Maybe it's just me.
I just think that the restrictions on swapping cosmetics is such an unbelievably stupid idea. Like why? There's quite a literally no reason to do that.
