  1. I don't think u understand how much money things coast especially developing something lol like shit ain't cheap especially man power which they still need a lot of man power so I also wanna point out that there are a lot of things y'all can look into online that suggest roughly 150-500 million minimum to create a MMO so I don't believe ashes is anywear near fully funded
Also another thing the most popular MMO right now ff14 coast 600million to get to wear it is and a start of 400 million so

  2. I'm hoping they have enough in reserve at launch to maintain operations. No matter how the launch goes, they should be able to run the servers for five years to relieve stress and give them wiggle room.

  3. As long as they don't fall into a content creep fever, then the money will be used well. Otherwise you get Star Citizen where it has an asinine amount of money and time and ideas, it feels like a treadmill with no end in sight. Not that I mind too much for SC, as long as they continue making headway, but I don't want that to be AoC as well.

  4. With that much fund and support and a large amount of developer team size and how many years already ? and it is already not finished and it still needs at least for probably another 2 more years… It feels like a real scam… because for every alpha and even probably for closed beta, you are expected to buy their alpha etc packs to get in 🙁 … There is no hype left really but only scam… Until they release their game – Archeage 2 and even Quinfall will come sooner than Ashes of Creation…

  5. I love how peeps call this game a scam… Considering Steven himself fully funded the development, if the game doesn't come out and make him money, he's only scammed himself.. The rest of the money from fans is just some icing on an already splendid cake.

  6. thats why korean developers do job way faster bcs they have way more people + money, but if look right now Intepid studio when you start with 20-40 workers until now over 150+ probably!

  7. * $400 or more. The introductory price for alpha 1 access during the Kickstarter was $400 and went up as more people bought it. By the time I got home from work the price had increased to $435 which is where I bought in. I just couldn't pass up on that lifetime sub that was included. If Ashes lives up to its potential I'll save a ton in the long run.

  8. just because someone has alpha 2 access doesn't mean they'll actually play alpha 2. life situation might have changed, might not have the free time anymore. might be busy with other games. may never have actually been interested in alpha access. might have died in the meantime. and even apart from that, very very very few people play games daily. so even disregarding the people with access that never play alpha 2 for whatever reason, you'll only see a much smaller portion of those playing at any given time. 100,000 people with access, i'd be stunned to see more than 10,000 of them playing. more than 25000 at the same time would be a miracle. 50,000 and i'd start calling bullshit.
