  1. So I just started doing life skill stuff on a season Shai during my winter break. And yeah I dont think I've played a game that handles life skill stuff better(and I played Eve Online for many years).

It would be VERY wise for Intrepid to look at BDO and how they do life skilling not just to learn what to do but what they can maybe avoid. Because despite it being a GREAT system in BDO it isn't without flaws.

But I gotta say the fact that I'm having as much fun doing my life skill stuff as I was doing my combat grind stuff is a feat that few games can manage

  2. I've come to wonder if true balance among the different classes in any MMOs is just a pipe dream. I guess as long as the dev's do regular patches to buff & nerf classes and/or skills in an effort to find balance, that's maybe the most that we can expect?

  3. Funny, I was wondering today how could they prevent a class meta to settle in, if say, for exemple, the "tank" picking "tank" as a secondary would become a better tank than any other secondary class… Ashes needs to clear these things up

  4. The cuppium became your drug XD. Why not making a video on how Ashes can disappoint? There is to much deserved coppium.
Is there a mmo where you can hire NPC to work for you like to gather resources?

  5. solution is simple. make the most efficient setup be random placement. make it so that rows and rows of stuff is less efficient. not very realistic, but it's a game, we don't want real, we want fun. if the only way someone can have fun is by being a borg let them go play with an abacus.

  6. While I am glad you played archeage, there is one HUGE problem. You are playing the unchained version, after it has been changed & passed around by multiple companies. And you have not been part of the archeage journey for long. Most of us played it (the ORIGINAL, not unchained) for YEARS! It's the original AA that inspired Ashes. We were still playing the original when Ashes was first being talked about!
What AA:U is today, is just a sad fraction of what made original Archeage so amazing years ago! Ask any AA player that's played it for YEARS like I did, and they will tell you that the BEST era of archeage was the original, when the trade & certain shit, had not been changed yet! Now it's a dailies grind & mob grind nightmare! It used to have the funnest trade system (not at all what trade is today in it, they ruined everything when they made changes to that) It did not have an archepass! It was a true sandbox! You had freedom to level & play how you wanted. You had a strong ginormous community, & guild politics within the game!

Only if you played it then, and only then, would you TRULY & FULLY know why it helped inspire Ashes of Creation!

And that "old school" version of AA would not be dead! It's the pay to win, and the changes they made, and the shit companies who got their hands on it, that caused it's downfall over time! You do not know Archeage, just because you played a few hundred hours of the crap version of it, years after it's nothing like it used to be! Sorry! Im glad you enjoyed it, but just imagine if you had been around to play original archeage back then. I hate that THIS is the version of it that you had to try out & experience, for your ashes videos.

  7. Imo 'balance' isn't a good or realistic goal, you want to have power spikes and dips moving through the classes each patch to keep the game interesting. People think they want balance, but majority of players won't even partake in activities that don't reward player power… Balance is boring, meta shifts keep games alive.

  8. Love the channel man, thanks for the great work!
Not 100 percent up on your take on immersion-breaking, when your toons have names that reference out of game stuff. I've always thought silly names were for players that liked the systems, but not the fiction of the setting – my take only. in Ashes when we get a zone announcement like "Sidemoob has been elected Mayor" I'm betting immersion gets a bit broken

  9. Amazing video as always brother. I agree with you and yes I am also in a sandbox mmo for making that money but yeah doing combat sometimes is good and I am mostly a support character so I am not much interested in combat, but most intruiging for me is the artisan skills and freeholds.
