Ashes of Creation is an open world MMORPG set in a fantasy environment where you can choose different classes and races to adventure through with your friends. Intrepid Studios is the developer behind the game. They’re technically an indie studio, but their creative director Steven Sharif has a clear vision for his video game: Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Game. He wants to put the massive back in MMO. Exploring dungeons, griding for gear, crafting armor/weapons, learning new spells, and competing in large scale PvP battles. High end PvE such as raids will mainly occur in the open world. Bosses will spawn and roam through the land. Are YOU ready to enter the world of Verra?

  1. A little bit of information that needs to also be added. The server the guild came from had become know as a heavy PVP server, while the server, Vyra, they went to was more PVE friendly.

Those on the Vyra server did not want PVPers to come in and create chaos. So they united to prevent that.

I was leveling in Vyra at the time, not having to do anything with this. Though, I did read to the global discussions. That was the general feeling among those that were playing Vyra.

Keep in mind, the node and guild systems in AoC right now are only a fraction released. If this is what a small part of the node system is like. When it is fully released, there will be servers with epic political plays.

  2. Of course we’re still friends, silly. It’s a game. This should be fun 😝 I don’t always get the facts right, but us lore nerds had a blast that night. EPH merely provided the fuel and for that, we thank them 🙏🏻

  3. Nah you guys came into our server and thought you could just do what you wanted. Doesn’t matter what our server guilds did, this OUR server, get out. There’s a reason you left your home server, talk about dat.

  4. 6:27 100% experienced this type of gameplay in WoW during the MoP expansion. If you didn't get involved in world pvp and the drama that can create then you really missed out. Those 40vX fights were insane

  5. I love the drama honestly, it makes the game so much better. But also if your participating it requires thick skin and you cannot take any of this personal. It's a game and also, just bide your time. Maybe when a node is being under attack and your allies don't show up and instead you get a note saying "We were 2 busy duping in Alpha 2 to aid you today".

  6. Burns! Glad to see the video. I'm going to be honest majority of the reason I bit on this drama was cause I knew we could get you over to Vyra. Happy to see you out there, buddy!

  8. The "exploit" actually wasn't what started the server wide war. It started a normal guild war with like 3 guilds, initially. However, and this is on video, the NOT EPH group participated in 100% pure, blatant, spawn camping from the start (something Steven literally posted saying not todo as the protections weren't in place yet…but the lack of punishment for that is another conversation). That's what caused the war dec fire to spread so fast. But hey, it's neither here nor there. I have no hate for any of the EPH folks. In fact, many of us in our guild used Doc here as an example of how not all EPH peeps are bad peeps, so we should hate the individual dbags (and yes Alec was 100% guilty of being a total dbag), not the overall guild. The main lesson people need to learn here is that reputation matters. EPH earned their bad rep on Resna (as did Enveus). A couple of guilds with reps for exploiting from before A2 even started got busted for doing those things in Phase 1 to the point where Steven had to break out the belt. Using the excuse of "not wanting to fall behind the known cheaters" is pretty damn weak Doc. Come on now friends. The Vyra REALM joined together to ensure the bad reps didn't turn out to be true and ruin our world. It was all fun as far as I'm concerned. Watching an entire realm community come together on short notice to protect it's way of life was indeed compelling game play. All of the alt F4 and guild dropping is weak af. Exploiters talked smack and bailed when they got whooped up on for a little while? I'd fully expect that from ENV. Not what I expected from EPH.

  9. I was at Bloom on Vyra when this happened and yeah it so so obvious the Kaos guys were just looking for a reason to bully these dudes.

Also I LOVE how its the streamers who are leading the charge against "exploiters". Kaos literally got free legendary gear from Steven xD in general they are FED by their guilds and fans and literally are exploiting themselves. It's easy to have an ego once the community makes you strong. Solo, or in a normal guild Streamers wouldn't have the power they have and I hope humility hits them eventually.

  10. "Guild didn't want to get left behind" in an alpha is such a joke. Such a statement just encourages future cheating. Just because "exploit early, exploit often" mindset came from other toxic pvp mmos doesn't mean it should be tolerated or encouraged in Ashes . Be part of the solution, not the problem. Mmos are dying and to tolerate this behavior doesn't help.
