Ashes of Creation is on a cliff, do you think they can avoid it and develop systems so good we wont see stream sniping/greifing as an issue? Will they be able to get alpha 2 to a high enough degree of quality and scale of content that the unwashed masses will be pleased? Who knows, games dead already anyways #redditgang #pantheonriseofthefallen #alexaplaydespacito #freerobux

I don't see Stream Sniping for larger streamers will be a problem. Most of them go out in larger groups and will have the pritections needed. The Only time I see a concern is wnen raiding or questing but then again the constantly have hords of simps following them around wherever the go. I feel for the small streamers that might not have the numbers on a daily basis.
In past games where content was to be contested, I have seen guilds and organizations set up a schedule for activities to avoid the conflict. Its just a downside of guilds working together, "we will run dungeon one at 8pm on Monday. You can run it Tuesday" and so forth. I just don't see the contesting of dungeons by larger, organized guilds playing out as designed. Smaller groups or guilds getting steamrolled, possibly, but larger guilds, I don't think so.
I don't care about streamers getting abused, they get free shit and boosted without having to work for it so a couple of deaths in return seems fair.
stream sniping probably isn't going to be much of an issue. the punishments and drawbacks to attacking green players are massive and things like griefing are punished heavily. It's also stupidly easy to add a stream delay to prevent people from knowing where you are. Having a lacklustre twitch fan base for the game definitely doesn't mean it won't be successful. MMOs have been successful long before twitch and youtube were a thing.
streamer crybaby rage. stop crying pls. if u cant take the smoke go play garbage World of warcraft..
Ashes has no chance compared to the Riot MMO tbh
Good video glad I came across your content
People need to get a better attention span 😉
Hey, nice video as always man. One thing to keep in mind is going to be the corruption system and it being a natural deterrent for those that would go out and kill, streamers, etc.. I’m pretty hopeful for the system that they have designed.
Another thing I’ve noticed intrepid Studios is taking into account is the size of dungeons. From the 40 minute live stream, we got the other day we saw how massive the skeleton maze/dungeon was… I think they’re making zones big enough to account for several guilds being in places at once should they choose to. I think in addition with certain dungeons being next to your node, there’s probably going to be a limited amount of people accessing it when they were probably accessing their own dungeons on their nodes etc. Just some thoughts that have come to mind.
Stream sniping is consideres targetted harassment. This was covered in the AMA last month. There will be live customer support and they can see the heat maps to see that players made a beeline to PK the streamer.
streamers have brains, they just need to use it and figure out What they can or they can not stream – same as they do in rust
Here we have a small group of sciociopathic fans that will SWAT anyone that dares speak ill of the game, but the design has issues…it''s just not going to be a mainstream game which means a constant struggle for survival….and it's shaping up to having one of if not the most toxic communities in MMO's. Look I don't have a dog in this race, but the Copium is getting a little too thick…AoC is not the second coming the devs are taking huge risk, and while I admire them for that, I just don't think they will pay off.
Lots of good points in the comments that are changing my mind on stream sniping being as much of a problem!
I truly hope the other point of the video is also one Intrepid pass with flying colors, showing us a product in alpha 2 with enough potential and just enough polish to please the unwashed masses!
What do you think, once Intrepid steps off this cliff will things end with a thud or will the phoenix spread its wings and carry us all to the wonderful world of Verra?
If you think Stream Sniping will stop streamers, you're high on Copium…
please, explain… why, in the 7 hells of Odin's beard…… do you think HARDCORE PVP FULL LOOT games where you Literally die with 1 hit to the head from 100m away…. like Rust and Tarkov are OK with stream snipers and it's not an issue (sure, it happens, still doesn't stop it being successful on twitch) – but with an MMORPG that takes you 1 minute to kill someone and you play IN GROUPS you make a video saying ashes is on a cliff bc of stream sniping? 😂 no hate my brother, I'm just baffled by this logic, it makes absolutely No sense at All… it's 100% Not going to be an issue, if anything, this would be a issue for FPS or survival games but even then, it's not
