Which releases first Ashes of Creation or ArcheAge 2?
But More importantly… Which one goes p2w first to fund their lack of talent and innovation 😉

I'm done with Korean or Asian mmo games in general
Bummer because they make rly good games but always ruin it with their monetization models that can't be avoided even with an American port because it's built into the core of the game
What happens if the attackers summon a caravan and use it as a weapon to ambush the defenders? They could summon it hours before, wait in ambush, then utilize the caravan's skills to blast away the defenders before attacking the traveling caravan. It would be like a bandit caravan attacking a merchant caravan.
Wait, this is 1/4 the gameplay loops??? This bodes poorly….
1) trade routes for AA were just a trade profession. That’s it. ONE of the trade professions. They had group aspects to them, but other than that, it wasn’t treated as a core gameplay loop on its own.
2) This…. Isn’t a caravan. It’s a cart. They need to downplay the mini-game-esque mechanics, and make it an actual caravan whose primary purpose is moving goods from one region to another for practical reasons; e.g., large amounts of lumber from wooded region to a desert region.
3) the PvP was junk in this. They need the support classes and utility/CC. It’s just a numbers game in this video
4) Archeage Founder here. Archeage failed because their servers crashed during all major launches and updates, sometimes for days on end. People felt cheated, because all content was claimed by the time they could log on. So, people left. Each major launch/update immediately tanked the player count. Despite what freemium players want to say/push, it never had anything to do with pay2win at the beginning. It was all just straight up horrendous servers and the devs refusing to fix them and roll servers back.
Ashes looking better than ever. Cant wait. Great video as always!
4:06 I wish he'd go on Tangents 🥴
say "game play loop" again I dare you I double dare you!
I’m hopeful it will turn into an amazing game, combat still needs a little work. Happy with this update
Looks good so far but I thought trade packs were garbage in AA. Felt like chores.
One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is how the criminal system will work in the scenario they setup on the livestream. If they were bandits that attacked, killed, and stole goods from another group… would they still be able to enter a node to sell off these goods? Would guards attack? Is it open season for other players to attack and take the stolen goods for themselves? I know it wasn't the target of the showcase but interesting things to think about.
ArcheAge 2's change is just baffling to me. Why do developers keep making single player MMOs? Almost any other genre does single player better. Your entire appeal is the people!
I just wait when this game will fail
That screen tear, good catch.
Fun Fact: Archeage didnt pioneer the caravan/tradepack system, an MMO called Silkroad Online did it back in 2005!
In SRO You could pick from three factions. Trader, who had the caravan and the trade goods. Hunter, which protected the caravan from NPC and player thieves. And of course Thief, who's entire goal was to kill the hunters and traders in order to get the goods from the caravan.
What was really cool and unique about that system as well is that in order to participate You had to join one of the three factions, and each faction had their own clothing like a skin that you would wear over your armor. When you had that clothing equipped, it would obfuscate your name so that you weren't immediately recognizable in the open world, and it led to a lot of fun in-world drama with things like spies and whatnot.
When ArcheAge came out I played the Korean 1.0, and it was immediately my new favorite game because it was so much like SRO, but modernized. I think ashes of creation is doing the exact same thing now, and will be like archeAge, but modernized, and I can't wait 😁
That Bard ability they teased has me creaming my panties. I was already excited for the Bard, but that was way cooler than anything i could have imagined. Intrepid always over delivers.
I am vastly amused that mmo players are so desperate for a new game to play they will convince themselves that beyond tedious game mechanics like the ones shown in this video with the caravan will be "fun and engaging" and not a cause for outrage from the playerbase after a month due to having to waste so much of their time waiting for a caravan to spawn rather than just playing the game. What is even going on? is slow paced fantasy world simulators what people want now? I get that MMO's need a shakeup but is this it? It feels like an ode to a 90's mmo with updated graphics.
I know why the cope mask is so prevalent on your channel, sheesh. (referring to the comments mainly, i know you give it a fair shake yourself)
ive heard ArcheAge 2 is actually Ashes of Creation, and Ashes of Creation doesn't even exist.
Actually I prefer physical packs like in Archeage rather than clicking in UI, it make you think and strategize how are you going to load and unload stuff. On one route I did use harpoon on a trade ship to pull ship on the shore to the trader, to avoid reloading packs from ship to hauler. It was fun and people who seen it were laughing 😆
Agreed, it even has combat that looks so bad it looks straight form Archeage's era!

AA was the best mmorpg in the market at its prime.
But greed just destroyed it.
I remeber playing the whole traderun minigame back in silkroad online, I really liked the system, rather than having players interact with caravans, you would equib an item that turns you a theif, hunter or a merchant, theifs are the only ones who can attack merchants (caravans), hunters are sort of the caravan gaurd and can attack theifs, merchants are the who buy and drive the caravan, the game map simulated the real ancient silkroad and it was like a big straight line from east to west with alot of cities in between, you could go from one city to another which was long run, you can sell your goods there or choose to travel further for more rewards but with more risk of getting caught ofcourse. the longest trade run would take hours and hours going from the far west to the furthest east.
