The Potential of the Ocean is wild, but there are so many more ways to use this technique that effect the whole game. I’ve liked the channel in the description if you guys wanna cope, but ultimately, we can only speculate how far Ashes of Creation want to take this!

  2. The spec requirement jumped the moment they moved to Unreal 5. Just check the spec requirements for the game engine itself and you will have your answer. If you think you're gonna be able to run this on your mom's old PC while living in her basement, you're living in your very own fantasy world, and you don't need AoC.

  3. Honestly I think the water physics just from last months showcase need a bit of work.

It's like the tree physics when they were showcased, I was like.. even if it looked twice as great it would still look better without it in the game.

  4. Be honest guys…is this just a Star Citizen Medival MMO? So we will never see a release in our lifetime? What do you think? We got so often disappointed in the most recently past…I can´t get hyped anymore for any game.

  5. For me the biggest problem with AoC it's design… Surely the game environment looks beautiful but the character skills are bad asf, lack details, and look like those games made in 2010… 7 years and improvement have been shown so far it's kinda of too small for the amount of time taken to develop the game… Also, the cities we have seen so far look kinda… From an Indie game, looks too simple and the game itself doesn't have ''identity'' there's nothing so far that creates the feeling that when you see the footage of the game, besides the logo you can say ''oh that's definitely AoC''… Different from games like Final fantasy, black desert, ESO etc… You can easily name each game by how it looks. so for me could sure be a good game, but so far looks too generic, a copy of Archeage with few different elements so for me they need to improve

1 – VFX, ingame skils look too simple, compared to throne and liberty for example… A game made on unreal 4…
2 – Identity, needs to create elements ingame as a deep story, things that would only exist in AoC world, not only copy features from archeage, new world and other games
3 – Overall design, the game looks kinda generic, and the environment is beautiful but besides that, even skyrim armor mods have more details and look better, cities shown so far don't look that good at all…

All that aside I'm not a hater, I bought the pack to play the alpha, but I lost my excitement after the last pvp livestream, not for the caravans, I think there's no need for more risk for the attackers like other people complained but I couldn't stop noticing the other issues with the game… I recommend that you guys play Throne and Liberty and try to compare the games, there are many environment similarities to AoC but you will see how superior the game looks visually

  6. While I always advocate for more realism. I don't think you're accounting enough for the vertigo factor. Which would turn off A LOT of people from ocean gameplay. Effects are fine but if it affects ship movement and mechanics. That would probably not be a good idea.

  7. Man. I always was leaning towards being a mountain dwarf.
Even as a horde player at heart, I loved playing my dwarf with my home of ironforge in wow. But every time I hear about ships and the ocean of this game… the more I’m tempted to main an island dwarf and be apart of a mercenary/merchant guild for hire on the seas.

  8. Gameplay and Combat Looks absolutely trash bro lets be real….
The characters are not even grounded at all it looks so weird…The spell animations are disgusting and do not fit the world, They need to tone that shit down for real.

Systems and Features = Good Character Movement & Combat Gameplay = Trash

  9. Specs probably haven't changed, but that's why stuff is looking scuffed. I have a feeling that to achieve those spec requirements, the game will achieve maximum scuff.

Hopefully, for those not on 2010 potatoes, we will get options to really get UE5 in full glory.

    Guess we'll have to see.

Because the player models have been looking noticeably worse for a bit now, but maybe the environments improving over time have simply made the scuffed player models more noticeable.
