Freeholds are a wonderful game play concept. However, very few individual players will ever own a Freehold. To own a freehold will be a "Monumental Grind". Most Freeholds will be owned by guilds and the whole guild will have to grind for weeks to buy just one Freehold. And that is what you have to do for top tier crafting.
