  1. flying sucks in WoW…everything you said is so true…it cheapens the experience and just made it instant gratification. kind of like the insta port in a instance by queue'ing up….i hated it..oh…RiP

  2. world pvp is overrated. despite what the very vocal MINORITY would have you believe, most people dont care about pvp or "world exploration" in an mmo. most people dont give a shite about the games scenery after seeing it once.

  3. Animal husbandry and fishing are 2 things I'm really looking forward to hahaha♥️
I play games to have fun and relax, I doubt I'll ever see a raid or anything😁🤷‍♀️

  4. I imagine the t2 mounts will behave in a similar way that the griffon in GW2 does. Definitely not "full flight", but I also doubt that the average player won't have an aerial means to travel, even if it is only gliding.

  5. I guess Steven took this idea from Lineage 2, since in that mmorpg you could have a flying mount( or mount whatsoever, since there was no ground mounts either ) only if you were a lord( basically being a clan leader that owned a castle ).
It felt really special when you saw a flying dragon in game there. You felt raw power from that person.

  6. I love that some mounts with training can learn to glide, and I can forsee PvP hotspots at the tallest landmarks, lookouts, and where travelers can glide across canyons, lakes, or Lava!

  7. I have to say that in my opinion flying kills the immersion of a mmo. like it did in wow. I loved the towns be packed with guys running around. I dont know how i feel about this in AoC. lets wait and see i guess 😀

  8. Best glide I played was in ArcheAge, best taming system in Icarus and best mount system in GW2. GW2 has some interesting skills for gliding but they work only in few maps or during specific events, in other hand every mount makes sense and has a "job". I can also say that FF VII had a good system to breeding chocobo with diferent types, foods and levels.

  9. Right now the idea of Intrepid is to have mounts only for high valued people, meaning that 90% of the people will not even be able to use mounts. Social people not being able to use mounts will be a disaster. Mounts must be able to be used from regular people even with some limitations (like less speed, less mount features or less usage time, or cooldown on how much time a mount can be used)

  10. There is nothing wrong with flying mount, as a matter of fact it increase the travel traffic between player and spot/location, now if you want a pvp or robbing or whatsoever against random people, camp that location and ambush them when they arrive, you don't randomly roaming around and hoping to find a stranger, that dumb and waste of time. Now if it take way too long to reach a certain spot, you might get less "fun" in killing random people because of the interval on traveling to such spot/location you have to wait your prey to arrive. If you want a consentual and quick pvp, go to the arena, request duel or participate in contested raid or siege.

The solution is to give a simple homing missile to be on sold and accessible for every player to buy from merchant that has the ability to knock down only a flying target and stunned when fall into the ground, so if they try to run with flying ability it is equal to a death sentence because they will get stunned and probably take a fall damage if they fly high enough. Add an item that can detect a flying target, mounted target, ground&flying transportation for example a binocular that can pin point a target on the world map for 800-1500m range depend on it quality/grade, this will make hunting player more easy for the camper who roaming/patrol at a certain spot << this will make flying dangerous yet rewarding because of it ability to shorten the traveling time & distance.

  11. 100% they are giving a false sense of what this game is. We need more videos on classes, combat, crafting, and dungoen mechanics. However, I dont like the idea of limiting flying mounts. GW2 has a land/water combat system, meaning your skill bar switches to new skill if your under water, so I dont understand why when you get on your mount you dont get a new set of skills so you can fight mid air or dismount another player. Just seams like such a completely over looked unique system for additional lore and interaction.

  12. Why don't you simply make a video about the good parts of GW2 mounts system wihtout linking it to AoC if you like it so ?
I mean it's nice to use AoC because of alogrythm and hype but I would gladely look at your view and way of presenting topics over other games the same way you do with AoC.

  13. Another reason why Archeage is so amazing. You literally need to build your glider. And it's still not actually unlimited flying. But it gets close. To get nearly unlimited flying you need to defeat a really hard dragon with a entire nation and than you need to grow the dragon and you are like the only person that has a actual flying mount. Or you can become a faction hero. Which you need to be elected into and own a castle and can get a little dragon from that. So yeah archeage!!
