dude, you hit every point with UE5 that I touched on with a group of my buddies, there is so much potential with it and AoC that I'm about to hyperventilate just thinking about it. I'm not too worried about delays or anything of that nature with AoC though, they've delayed it a couple of times for various reasons and I haven't been disappointed with it yet. They are on the right track with everything and think this game will not be another NW.
I really wish them the best as they are a small team and making an mmo is a very complex thing, particularly theirs which is a very ambitious one.

I just hope intrepid nail the launch and some of the unrealistic expectations the community has for the game. we're desperate for a good mmo and if intrepid do deliver, they will no doubt be successful for many many years /copium

Doubt it would be new lead designer announcement or UE5 upgrade. You don't need to delay a week just to announce the lead designer replacement. And UE5 isn't really an integral component of the game since the game is planned to be a UE4 game. I bet it would be combat update because Steven mentioned in September livestream that they will have update about combat in the next 3 months

I really really hope its the Unreal 5 engine port, that would be a huge step in making this game cutting edge and you're bang on in saying this is the perfect time for it. They were rebuilding a lot of their systems after Alpha 1 so why not change it over? Be amazing with the tech involved in that engine.
