Ashes Of Creation Alpha 2 Is Coming In 2024 and I think it could be the most important year for Ashes Of Creation. A lot of the features should be present, the node system, the class system, the sieges, the combat and more!

No game can make a better combat then gw2 no game ! I played all the game from wow until new world and gw2 is by far best and hard to master combat in all games .
I think that it is a given that the mass audience will not enjoy AoC. The game is not designed for the "modern" player and has no financial need to cater to their playstyles. The development of the game is an unrivaled success at this point, as it has already been funded. If no one plays the game at launch, it will not be a failure. Most of the people in the broader community who have been attracted to the game in the last two years have projected upon it their own preconceptions as to what an "MMORPG" is and their expectations will absolutely not be fulfilled. This is the constant refrain that has been heard on forums and social media: "Game X does PvP/PvE/Crafting/Quests/Etc this way and that's the way that AoC should do it." AoC will be the game that SS has designed. It's the game that HE wants to play. All other opinions, in the final analysis, approach irrelevancy. The broader MMO community should expect to be disappointed, rebuffed, and outraged. AoC will not be a world wide phenomenon.
If AGS don't screw it up I think Throne&Liberty is the only MMO that catch my attention for a decade, AoC is still an ongoing project and has a very long way before it releases
It already looks dated and the movement is clunky. I honestly don’t see it reaching to the hype. Maybe if it were released 5 years ago, but now? Looks like 2015 game tbh
They dont haven't to cater to the casual audience. I dont have a problem with this and im a casual player and i still look forward to the alpha 2.
It will probably leech a large niche of players. Probably a bunch of players scattered over multiple games. The modern crossover with survival games and full loot pvp games will probably help the game. Other games coming out seem to be attempting to segment different zones to cater to different audiences. We will have to see which approach works better.
game right now looks way batter than 90% games already released hah thats the point! For alpha 2 mehanics and gameplay like thats is really crazy and another lvl. There is still i can say 2-3 years from full release!
Good video looking froward to more on the topic.
Good video definitely going to check it out.
This is what year 7 and second alpha if it isn’t spectacular then the click bait money grabbing content creators will decimate it for revenue that is what has dropped so many games that are good and the mindless lemmings will go to the next one
This game was so promising but they fell off a cliff
This is the day before 2.0.
I can't wait for Alpha 2 just for the ability to have your own plot and I'm very interested in the crafting as a casual person especially the animal husbandry.
Only spend 250 dollars, it use to be 500. Signs they are already willing to compromise for a larger player base. That mentality will eventually seep itself in to more decisions in the future and the game will not be as it is advertised now. One day a game for hardcore and the next casual so they can keep the lights on
the potential this game has is insane. Tempering my hope-ium because New World also had/has tons of potential, but it's been made very clear by now that NW will simply not be able to live up to it. The one thing they said that gives me reason to hope is they they have increased their staff up to 170 devs now. Q3 will tell 🙂
I love playing with controller, its comfortable and i can play almost lying down lol
Agreed with everything you've said here. The open world PVP mechanics, the hybrid combat style, how they handle the node system .. all of these factors could make or break the game for many people. And while I have been known to back games on Kickstarter or in early access before, this one is too rich for my blood. I have no doubt a game will come out that some may love but I'm not sure if I will be among those lovers. I'm fine hanging back and waiting longer to find out.
Is AoC going to have a trinity?
My main interest in this game is to see how it will not remotely live up to the hype. I've followed it like everyone else and it all looks … okay … very generic in a lot of ways.
People can think that because this game is made by "indie" studio that it can "do what it wants" and doesn't have to cater towards making money but the game has to make money. The most money comes from the most players, not the niche, unless the niche is all whales.
AoC is one of those games that has never even hit my radar. I have my doubts it will ever even release and that this is just a game to keep developers employed and build resumes. They are ambitious in some of the things I have been hearing about and some of the stuff just seems like it wont survive very long if it does launch.
This game is a complete joke
Non action. Dead on arrival.
It'll be exciting for a month. Then it'll die like all other MMO's because it takes it's inspiration from a failed MMO called Aion and has an always on PvP system. Those are the biggest hurdles it faces for supremacy but there are tens of other concerns a lot have with the game. From the lien the state of California placed on Steven Shariff. To the backtracking on purchasable items for your plots, to the way only whales can compete in the server economy. I ain't calling this a game a scam in the same way The Day Before was but it is pretty damned close and a cursory glance at any MMO sub-Reddit, or MMO/Gaming forum site will show you the vast majority are apprehensive at best about the game.
I read comments and majority is guessing that AoC Alpha 2 will come within Q3 2024. Most of the promised Kickstart Roadmap features from 7 years ago does not still add or implement yet. Thus, we should ask when is Ashes of Creation coming? Probably 2027 with this speed :(… Until that time, I go play Archeage 2, Aion 2, Quinfall, Riot mmorpg etc whatever new mmorpg is coming.
After New World, I can’t really get excited about tab target/directional target games, which is unfortunate cause it looks like a really nice world to explore.
It's not releasing in 2024. 2025 at earliest and I'm not sold on the game yet. I'm still wary of games where other players can steal your stuff or everything you built can be destroyed in a war. It's just ripe for abuse. 24 years of MMO's and a majority of players are about building up and enjoying the game, not rebuilding, etc. They're shooting for a very broke and very cheap playerset with PVP, but at the same time are not really offering players who want stability in a game when the world is so chaotic. They'll stick with WoW, Guild Wars 2, or 14.
People just need to accept when a game isn't for them and move on. Instead they shit on it for whatever reason to justify their own game choice. Not every mmo needs to be the next WoW in terms of success.
