the fell breaks are no joke
Nice Narc, im already getting excited for the REEEEE comments from all the clerics who didn't get to PvP yet because they turned off PvP until Intrepid could review your video. KEKW
Narc have my babies.
I knew choosing cleric was gonna be busted…I still chose it, because solo player
yea i argued about cleric being too op, answer i got was dont fight cleric run away from him xD
Great and entertaining video, you did a great job with it! However there is one thing you got wrong there which I would like to correct you on, if i may. The clerics were most definitely "overtuned" in the previous iterations of the alpha before the NDA lift (I'm gonna use quotation marks whenever I use the term overtuned or undertuned since technically, none of the classes are tuned at all as its still in early alpha), in the current non-NDA iteration, they're not as strong. Their hits have definitely been nerfed while Mages' spells have been buffed making Mages feel a lot more "overtuned" in comparison. Mages just dish out a LOT more damage. And while stacking clerics in your party to get infinite hp and mana regen from spamming lvl 3 castigation is still an incredibly cheese tactic, in a 1v1, to my knowledge, tanks have always been superior since they have the most CCs in their kit if their skills are leveled properly and diminishing returns on CC hasnt been implemented yet. This is even truer now that divine censure hits like half as hard as it used to. Other than this bit of info, you did a great job on your video mate! Keep it up! =D <3
Idk how i feel about the other 2 classes having no way to heal. From an rp perspective, it sounds realistic. But then i remember leveling up my warrior in classic wow and it was extremely rough. Had to bandage and eat between fights and only fight one or two monsters at a time.
Suggestion for regeneration – give a stacking buff on the Caster that increases the mana cost of regeneration for more than the duration of the spell, refreshing when you gain a new stack.
ok im going to be a little salty on this cause i love to solo level. dont expose all of the secretes
Only $400+ for your unique mount pre-order! Not a rich kid? Tough luck….btw we don't need any money.
Anything about this seem strange to anyone else?
im kinda excited to see the mage/healer fusion, but wouldnt it be cool if you can slowly level your skills instead of stacking them. for example the more you use the skill the more it levels up separate from your actual level.
God that intro is so annoying lol rather hear someone pissing
Nice video Narc and thank you for bringing this to us. Really excited for the game and the class i am most interested in is the summoner but since it is not here i guess i have to wait. Waiting for your upcoming videos and hope you will show us some gameplays too.
healing agro way to high
they can put healing per hit from mobs 150% from players 50%
I don't know why you would focus this much on balance during the first alpha. Seems like this stuff is likely to change a lot.
Not really only about the cleric, but I hope they slow the combat a little more down, not much but a little. It looks like a zerg masinegun fan fest right now. Imo ofc.
I want a cleric that can DPS also hehe. Most likely the cleric/ summoner
Can't wait for mage video 🙂
Thank you for the content; you are doing a wonderful job. There isnt anything that really makes Ashes stand out from the crowd at this point in its development. I hope that over the next few years that the game develops character. All i see is tanking, attacking, and healing.
Ive seen this and done this. I just dont want the same thing anymore. Where are the new ideas.
If the devs are reading the comments i want to bring up "flashy" abilities, im really not a fan of them i mean look at FFXIV (no hate towards the game i actually think its good, its just the " flashienss that bothers me) the abilites in that game are just a big ass light show, there are some classes that should have some flashy abilites like mages for example but a warror or archer really shouldnt, in my opinion
Whiplash isn’t unique, it’s being around in ESO for a long while …
Nice. It just seems to me that attacks and spells have no HIT effect on mobs?
The game is a 2010 mmo with updated graphics… And a node system. How are people happy with this?
I think I will play a combination of Fighter and Cleric for Highsword class. Using death augments and some self healing, could be nice.
Which one is better Ashes of Creation or New World
the skills are OP if there are no counter skills ..like a mana drain or a 5 second silence ect .there is so much archage is that cleric build i love it…but ya nerf not needed just counters
I hope the combat undergoes some radical changes still. Right now it looks very lackluster to me in all aspects. No synergies, no combos, visually very unappealing. I somehow assumed these abilities are all just placeholders for the early tests, but maybe that's not the case? Is there an official statement on this?
Comparing this to GW2 combat for example cannot even be done at this point, Ashes is currently not even on the same playing field.
If all the spells and skills are just sorta placeholder to give the testers a tool to interact with the world then all is well, if this is in any way an indication how the combat will look like for the final product then oh boy… Were it my decision I would keep the NDA on the game, only releasing approved footage, because this looks scarily bad imo and I don't understand why nobody talks about it.
And scared I am, so far I haven't seen anything worth years and years of development. Compared to years old footage, the only things that look improved are animations and graphics. Quests don't work, mobs and bosses don't work, we have a few basic abilities that can be whipped up in unreal engine in a matter of days, I still haven't seen proper node progression to end stages. To be completely honest I see a game in early development stages not a game that's past half of alpha testing on the way to beta.
simple just don't let regen stack
You convinced me to play cleric at launch <3
The combat is a major issue for me,it's crap simple as that really . I don't feel any satisfaction when killing mobs. And the beautiful world I just don't seem attached to because I feel like I'm ice skating on it.
Imagine playing heal OMEGALUL
Cleric looks like a mix between Paladin and Priest in WoW. very interesting!
I like the stackable Healing Regen idea, 3 Clerics cast it on one target for base cost, or one Cleric casts it 3 times on one target – but i'd like to see the MP cost double each time you cast it on the same target. Same with the AoE version of Regen when it shows up.
Should’ve added a slight delay to the ‘nice’ meme to get a little bit of emphasis on that whip skill sound effect. Just some feedback, keep up the good content. Keen to play this game when it comes out!
I think Guild Wars 1 balanced a class quite well with its mana pool and regeneration. A monk had like 40 mana and a regeneration of 4 pipes. Spamming skills would quickly exhaust the mana pool, and the enchantment spells would lower the regeneration of mana pipes down to 3, 2 or even negative. The enemy could burn your mana and there was hexes that would punish you for using spells until removed, and you could be interrupted etc. I think this would bring a nice dynamic to the AoC combat
I would love to see something like the balance life skill in lineage 2. That skill was awesome, as some classes could self buff themselves to increase damage and atack speed, but at the cost of reduced healing recived. This balance life would bypass that at some extent, since is not really a heal. Also the balance life and group heal combo enebles the healer to basicly get the whole pty to full health in 2 casts
Very nice videos, would appreciate higher quality, maybe 1440p
I just want to add my 2 cents…
This game has so many potential classes if I remember correctly.
I think these spells are actually the combination of all the future class combinations.
I have a feeling all of these spells different effects will be separated into different class combinations later on.
Example;
Cleric/tank combo would have the ground AoE reducing damage taken.
Cleric/damage combo would have the ground AoE do damage
Cleric/support would be healing/damage increases.
