I’m personally not a fan of how MMOs place our characters on a false pedistal of important and today we look at how our MMOs have taken us from being simple adventurers to ALMIGHTY LEADERS of our MMO worlds and discuss how Ashes of Creation could avoid this terrible form of story telling.I’m going to work the moment I uploaded this so I’ll fill in this rest of this stuff later (or I will just not do it full stop, depends how lazy I feel xD)

Something personal has happened which has forced me to need to increase my upload schedule DRAMATICALLY. So expect an upload from today onwards every day or every 2 days latest. The quality of my videos will not be affected at all so don't worry about that <3 Don't ask, just accept x

Does anyone know the predicted release date of ashes?
Yea I wish AoC would make the Sub fee more like 25 or 30 bucks a month and have no monetization. I would pay that fee but, maybe many wont, I don't know. I was thinking back in 2004 subs were 15 bucks, there as been inflation that should be closer to 23 bucks into todays money.
I just hope new content, expansions don't overwrite all the original world making it irrelevant. I'd like to hope most pre existing content is updated a long with the new stuff.
First thumbsdown is a pooper scooper
SWTOR has an amazing combination of these two. I played through the whole storyline on one character, and it was amazing to be the center of the story. The rest of my alts are still important, but I have no enticement to play the main story on them after their class stories ended. They still are tons of fun, but I think it would destroy the immersion like you said if I did those stories on more characters, even though they are technically different based upon your choices.
Thank you for reminding me why I love MMORPG in the first place.
Amazing video as always brother. Yeah i agree with you about the starter outposts, or like a tutorial ground for players to level up to a certain level and understand the game. Then they can move on to the big cities if any big cities have been formed. And yeah the cosmetic store have seriously taken away the fun of being looking like a badass. Most of the best sets or armor are only available through cosmetic stores and many people cant afford to buy that.
Lets see how intrepid is going to imply things into ashes.
agreed, either an adventurer or go full on oblivion style with titles
Thanks for the content, keep it up 🙂
Preach!
cant wait for the juicy juicy visual nda release 😉
Good one DooD
The selling of skins in all the supporter packs, ranging from Kings and Queens gear 2 colonial english ''real life gear'' really troubles me.
Watching another player at lvl 1 running around in all golden legendary gear is more than just breaking immersion imo.
maybe if it didnt cost $500.°° USD to be a tester (and not a paid one)
lol
no, the game gona suck so much
Completely agree that there should be some kind of "buffer node" between the spawn in node and a larger node. Going from 0 to warp speed in a few levels does feel a bit overwhelming and stuff is missed out for sure.
I'm glad some of the Ashes of Creation content creators are starting to talk about starter nodes. I've talked to some real life buddies about it and I said this game was interesting but was dead-on-arrival if they literally let players gank you the instant you load into the game world. You can't get immersed into a game if you can't safely and comfortably sink into the world when starting out. Even Eve Online, the most hardcore of hardcore games, does a lot to protect new players from the dangers of PvP slowly ramp them into the game.
Not only will you be an adventurer, but it is quite possible that your actions in the world help change it in a given direction. Generally nobody will be the hero, but everybody will be the pioneer.
Great video, thanks
That's what I've missed for so long. I don't want to be a hero in some grand cosmic plan. I just want to be a regular adventurer teaming up with others to beat the troll terrorizing the village.
