The way it comes across to me is that all classes will be the same up to lvl 25, less racial or religious augments. After that you can customize the playstyle but do the same damage. I envision a shielded character augmenting to a dual weapon with a parry, damage is the same and the blocks are done by the off weapon instead of a shield, basically the same with a different flavor.
