  1. i played the test with the new combat changes and i can gladly say im impressed, lots of new bugs but nothing major besides a siege bug that made people crash for about 10 minutes till they did a hotfix. I think at this rate the non nda testing will be good enough to not make people riot, but not good enough to be top news or anything

  2. I'm so close to purchasing the 500$ package. If they continue implementing feedback and they get the node system right, then this could really become every mmorpg players dream.

  3. I do agree with their alliances being capped at 4 because you could have a server side dominant alliance that completely facerolls the server for months or years POTENTIONALLY. However a guild alliance of 20+ or whatever has much higher chance of doing so… again POTENTIONALLY

  4. They have the right mindset…but man this game was revealed so long ago…and it has such a long way to go…i just don't see this coming out in any reasonable time.

  5. On the corruption of the world aspect; I don't buy it. I'm expecting another WAR, Rift, ESO world event system. Shit pops off, has certain stages, and minor consequences for a limited amount of time. Oh no, our town got corrupted and is now disabled, oh well, guess I'll go to a different town for 10 minutes until it resets. That type of system isn't very fun because you know there is no real threat to you or the world. You just avoid it.

    Now if they took the chance and actually made it world impacting that would be interesting. You ignore the corruption spread in a certain region and that shit creeps over the map slowly. Yeah, you are going to be fighting it back sooner or later. Kind of like Last Epoch's corrupted world stage but in real time.

  6. I think making loot go to whoever gets last hit is and always has been pretty shitty in any game. How is that fair and fun? Doing the most work only to get your kill yoinked by someone. Bad mechanic in my opinion I don’t really see how you can justify that, and I’m pretty sure that’s both a pvp and pve mechanic at the moment in aoc

  7. like star citizen this game is just an expensive list of pie in the sky ideas that will never be released outside of a state of suspended animation as an perpetual early release. im genuinely envious of people who have not yet been jaded enough to realize it.

  8. I always get a little tilted when the person show-casing this footage has bindings on 6-9, while the game is advertised towards "hardcore" gamers. Maybe the short-cuts are not yet adjustable haha.
    So far I still can't really get hyped for this title. The communication is obviously very good and that is their major selling point so far. But combat wise, character design wise, content wise, balancing, etc. we just haven't seen anything advanced. Everything is extremely basic. And these are extremely hard topics to get right. I feel like we so far do not even really know if they are capable of nailing these things. I think it will be another year or two where we see if they actually can deliver something solid.

We need more focus on the combat and movement of this game and forget about all this bullshit Q&A questions they all irrelevant if the combat the core of the game suck u all can said its alpha and i understand go and look videos from BDO 2014 or Lost ark 2014 alpha or betas cant remember but the point is they had a good combat or decent at least before adding a-lot other things to the game.. all iam saying is they are trying to make sieges and mounts and notes and all this systems good but in reality its all garbage if the movement and combat are not good and right now its just suck its not bad its really bad.. i wish best for this game and i got my founder pack a year ago 150$ trying to support the game but i wont pretend the game is doing fine cuz i want it to be good STOP everything and make the combat GOOD please..

  10. Sheesh why does it look so clunky and stiff? Still alpha stage I assume? They walk and run so stuff and the graphics are horrid…like a down graded TESO. The guys cloak looks 5 inches thick flowing behind him and the designs are ugly. Again, I assume because it is all Alpha…but cripes…

  11. Restriction to alliance numbers is good imo. What happens is you get mega alliances that just dominate the world to much.
    It doesn't stop non-official alliances, but any tools they provide alliances will hopefully make it a bit harder.

  12. Hmmmm….

    I'd say this is the first time after one of these ashes vids that i need to try this game out.
    Before i was always more sceptical.

    I think a lot of the systems might end up disapointing as well like in the past, similar to say the ''rifts'' in Rift which turned out to be glorified mob spawners when they bigged them up as epic massive battles for the entire zone etc.

    Open pvp game is right up my ally anyway and if this is the next big mmo for that genre.. well i guess i am on board when it comes.

  13. I can already see another delay on Alpha for "refining combat". Which for me is a big problem. Is keep delaying isn't correct, when you are actually selling expensive keys for acess.

  14. I'm not out to trash this game by any means. I WANT it to be good so that these other stale MMOs will be shaken up a bit. However…

    Why is it okay for them to charge $500 to bug test their game, have a cash shop, give items, etc without being put on a stake to burn like WoW has? It boggles my mind that people are actually okay and supporting that.

  15. From what I read they intend to do, I do not believe this game is ever going to work correctly. I am honestly surprised that people still fall for the “dream come true” game and sink money into them.
