I love Maggie as much as the next guy, but I don't know that she is lead writer. Granted we have no idea what all she does behind the scenes so who knows maybe she's got the talent for it.
But just from a pure outside perspective I'd prefer someone with some major amount of experience in creative writing, quest, and game design. There is a lot that goes into writing narratives especially ones that are meant to span 100s of hours of content. Honestly I hope they hire a small team for this.
I know when writing my D&D campaigns having others to pitch and bounce ideas off of is infinitely helpful. Even if I don't always use their idea it gives me ideas on how to better mold my own. So yeah I hope they hire someone who has a mind for this kind of thing and at least have a few folks to support him or her.
