  1. The New World fanboys clearly have no grasp on the fact that the game is a month from release, while AOC is 2 years away. Also, I can't even enjoy New World due to the horrid rubberbanding.

  2. Lmao! I love the ending. To be honest, I'm only playing New world so that I have something to hold me over till AoC. And I just started ESO a few days ago to get me through until New World… Its a vicious cycle.

  3. I feel like New World is a completely different type of game entirely, It's weird that people are comparing the two when New World is going to be a fun couple of months if we're lucky and Ashes is going to be a community based game built on communities that run the world. I WILL SAY…the gathering is the bomb, Steven should steal that.

  4. I feel like AoC will be a lot like New World, only the node system and corruption system will be the thing that sets it far apart. Also, the gathering from New World didn’t feel like a chore and I genuinely enjoyed it. Steven needs to take notes and improve on New Worlds weaknesses. Only then I feel everyone from New World will migrate to AoC once it’s released.

  5. I am a TBC Classic Andy, looking at both New World and AoC as objectively as I can, New World, needs another year before it is ready for release. They have a lot more polishing to do on the combat, the backend infrastructure to get the servers in a playable state, and they need a lot more content for the end game. IDK how anyone can play this for any length of time and be like "Yep this is ready for release next month"

  6. I'm really looking forward to NW.
The Streaming Meta support instantly got my attention.

Also Narc the Pepega Room has been compromised in this video!

  8. Ya a card game would be cool where you find them as rare drops. Very cool. Although I never played any card games other than go fish so I don't know what it would be like to actually play.

  9. I haven't played Ashes of Creation yet, but I have played New World in the 2 weeks closed beta. New World combat feels so clunky, some attacks don't register even though I'm not lagging (fps / latency related) The questing in New World feels… empty, there are only 2 types of quests lol yea it's that bad. Go there and KILL X,Y,Z or Go there and collect / obtain X,Y,Z that's it. Maybe I've been getting used with Guild Wars 2 dynamic events, and a lot of weird quests / events in Guild Wars 2.

I really hope Ashes of Creation will do A LOT BETTER.

  10. I've been tinkering the idea of how to signify the archetypes uniqueness a number of ways. One is having unique skills. For example, you'd have a unique skill based on your race for your main archetype, and a new one based off of your secondary archetype, since each race is fairly unique, it's fair to say their approach to a a class is unique as well. Heck this can also bleed into weapon skills as there could be a unique weapon skill based off of your race, first archetype, and secondary archetype. Passives too. There's a real potential for customization here to make you feel like you're not just another archwizard. You're the one who uses a greatsword and exemplifies your race's skill and prowess!

  11. COC to you… 80 hrs into New World Beta. Waiting for AOC… I think the content in NW should take until the new year to completely finish the player base. I did get the new game rush and excitement in the Beta. Let's be honest, it's a simple place holder. /fingers crossed for AoC. Not shelling out the $$$ for alfa so I will watch your videos and play New World. "What a joker".

  12. I'd rather play classic ret, oh wait I do hahaha ahh meditative combat not jank souls XD, I'm not a fan of doge in mmo's or left click to attack or a button I'm much more an auto attack guy lol played eso, don't want carpal tunnel haha "has ptsd with bfa shaman and demon hunter spaming buttons".

  13. I just can't get over how bad the combat is in New world. it just feels scuffed in all aspects, the way attacks feels, the way the dodge completely stops your momentum.
it's genuinely the worst "soulish" combat of any game i've played.

  14. "That feeling that makes you lose sleep because you're constantly thinking about the game." – Have never heard it summed up like this! Thank you so much Narc. Reminds me of the golden days of Vanilla WoW when I logged off as I just entered the Crossroads in the Barrens and was hyped to log back in the next day to begin questing.

  15. Specific resource management for each class is absolute deal breaker for me. Its my biggest issue with eso where every single character has mana or stamina (which is just green mana really). I believe wow did a great job during wotlk and cata (didn't play after that) where each class and even specialisation felt different and had different mechanics to pay attention to.

  16. I think AoC has a very easily solution for iframes. Since we already have a hybrid targeted and action combat, have action combat effect iframes and tab combat not. Behind the scenes this is easy to do, just use the league of legends model, targeted attacks "follow" the target through a flash or dash. It looks slightly comical at times for ranged attacks, but it works really well and it adds a ton of skill to the game to understand what attacks are what, or what can be dodged and what will follow you.
