  1. My Glorious Friends! Thank you once again for tuning into this months update, we are HARD AT WORK building all the things and getting ready for Alpha Two! Commissions are your most basic quest in Ashes, and they are constantly changing to show the state of the dynamic world, they feed every other quest system and reflect your actions in real time. Leave me your thoughts on todays showcase! We love our community and the feedback you give us! <3

  2. Looks sensational, good stuff lads.

Is it just me or is the direction of the rain changing as Steven turns? Rain falls from the same direction as you turn, it doesn't change direction as you do.

Also, is there an intent to include more interaction between the rain and the ground? For example, soil dampening, footprints, mud, water splashing off leaves or when it hits the ground, water run-off in some of these storms? It seems weird for there to be so much rain and the ground looks like the sun is shining.

  3. Looks very good it is getting there. Some feedback: It looks like it is raining just over the player and not in the world. When the enemies are getting hit by spells they do not react, the enemies should make a more distinctive sound when they are hit and better impact sounds when the spells are hitting and some spells if they can miss the enemies and hits a tree it should also give an impact sound. The enemies should also react pysically when they are hit, like putting a hand where the spell hit or losing its balance a bit. All this will make the game feel more rewarding and immersive during combat, and to be honest combat is so crucial in an mmo as you will do it over and over again.

  5. I would like to ask if the language of the game can be set in Chinese. I know many people who are also looking forward to this game, but the English is not very good, so I would like to ask if there will be a Chinese language option. Thanks

  6. so you stole town boards from New World.

im really starting to regret paying the 600 bucks for alpha 2 access and cosmetics. this sems like the biggest scam in gaming. im never crowdfunding a game again. RSI are just as bad

  7. This game just looks amazing, i could just run around in it for weeks and do nothing but enjoy the scenery.

That being said, I dont know if I like the map being as detailed as it is. It feels less immersive being able to see individual trees on the map as opposed to say inverted arrowheads that sort of look like trees indicating that it's a forest. Just a personal preference.

  8. Anyone know how long your loot you drop when you die stays on the ground? How about if you die in the water? Can it be picked up by anyone or just the player who died? Curios to find out how much time you have to come back and recover your dropped items.

  9. QUESTING. finally. the update video I've been waiting for multiple years for now.
Not an MMO player myself. In almost every MMO I have played, either the questing or the combat has been the major flaw for me that I just can't find fun.

Will Ashes be the MMO that finally gets me in?? The big question for me has been questing. The quests in WOW are the exact opposite of anything I find remotely enjoyable about a quest in a video game. The entire player base even tells me to skip the dialogue for my sanity's sake, and that's the exact problem.
(also not at all into the combat of WoW. I've tried that game honestly and genuinely like 8 times now and probably have 10-15 hours of suffering all total so it is NOT for me).

Really stoked to see how AOC will be doing their questing.

*note: I'm sure many of you want to say something like "sounds like you don't like mmo's" or SOMEthing in the spirit of this remark and yes. yeah you're right. so far I have indeed not liked mmo's like, at all.
New world was the closest I got to liking an MMO but, that didn't pan out either for many reasons but, the main reason was a feeling of "why tf am I here doing this again?" at almost any point in the game. at any point playing I had one question in the back of my mind "wtf is the point of this?" and most people would say "to level" my response, "why?" they reply "to get better gear or to be able to farm better like, trees and rocks or whatever" my response "why???" and it felt like this was very circular with zero point of playing for me. idk if you can overcome that in an MMO though, I really don't. that's just not a reason for me. it feels like circular definition but, instead, a circular reasoning.

That said, I'm being upfront with my viewpoint here and will add, I really really, I mean really WANT to like MMO's. the idea draws me in so hard, the games send me running away so fast. so I'm incredibly interested to see what AOC has in store. It really seems like it may be the first MMO I put more than 45 hours into, and I really hope so.

  10. Hope that battle will be more immersive with the interruption of attacks.
That minotaur had to knock you down back to the ground with his attack when you spellcasting and levitated.
Even though the game looks stunning. You guys are awesome 😊
