Good job, very thoughtful.
Although a lot of Pledgers will think of Alpha 2 as something they have purchased as opposed to something that they do, that could be actually good for Alpha 2, as the biggest unknown is how the players and the node system will really interact.
I think Alpha 2 should last a year, but that Intrepid will keep it at no more than 9 months, and instead extend the two Betas.
The optimist in me says Alpha 2 at the end of March 2023 while the realist suggests June 2023.
My biggest concern about the success of Ashes of Creation is that the behavior of the player base of Alpha 2, having paid $250 or more for the privilege, will be vastly different from the Launch population, and that many undesirable emergent properties of the node system will reveal themselves at Launch. Extending the Betas could ameliorate this, but still. Once there is no "box fee," the trolls will descend upon Verra.
For me, I would expect to Alpha 2, unless the PC requirements are too stiff, or if it conflicts with the Alpha of another project I am more committed to.

Great video I agree that it definitely won't be this year I think it'll be early to mid next year. I also agree that they won't roll everything out at once we should get bits and pieces so systems are 100% tested and not just skimmed.

What the hell was this video? I get that you have to be clickbaity for the algorithm but this was a completely incoherent rant that sometimes was completely unrelated to the title of the video. It reminded me of listening to book reports in primary school from the kids who read spark notes 5 minutes before they were supposed to present.

We will see all the 256 mounts and 1080 cosmetics for sale in the cash shop.
We will see cool graphics, animations, all native to UE5 tho.
We will see yet another unfinished iteration of the combat instead of any kind of improvement of what we have already seen.
We will see pretty much what we have already seen when it comes to features like nodes, quests, there will be only minor improvements if any.
And after everyone complains about it we will receive another statement how this was alpha, not the finished game, and that they are working on EVERYTHING and we will see the new mindblowing stuff in the future.
For years I believed AoC is the next big mmorpg, after 5 years of seeing nothing of any real substance aside from graphics I doubt the game will live 6 months past its release.
