I was nervous to post this. It's not meant to deter players from ashes but more to explain how PvP works in this mmorpg. Sorry for the rambling 😂😂
I'm so glad I pulled out of my Kickstarter pledge. I'm not interested in PVP in MMORPGs. I thought it would be more PVP-focused that they made out during Kickstarter.
He may have reported you for killing him but maybe someone killed him 5 times before you did.
Im .. trying.. soooo hard not to .. LOL. Man.. its only a matter of time 🙂 They will have to relent eventually. If they dont.. you can sign it off as a low pop game. What you were hearing.. is about 20 years of playerbase.. that simply cant handle Felucca life. When you mentioned he was a Lineage 2 fan.. lol.. Same guy. Lord British. But the thing is.. they dont have NEAR the capability of Ultima Online pvpers for mechanics to get people. This is still diapers to truly hardcore. And this video, I understand you, all that, but.. imagine the upset. AND ALREADY YOU ARE DEALING WITH HUMAN GM's?! LOL… You should have asked him.. you want to spank me? LOL. YOU BUILT THE GAME PAL!! GET READY FOR WHINERS! LOL….

I love the risk that this game has with PvP. My hope is that it opens the doorway to an entire industry of mercenaries for hire to protect you from raiders.
You need to go grab that section of video from the newer Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. were veruca and the other girl have their moment, "Let's be friends!" "Oh yes… BEST Friends." MUAHAHAHAHA… Oh the real world of evil people online gaming. I ALMOST miss the trial by fire life… but no. 🙂 And honestly.. those pvp rules you got, are still weaksauce.. til they realize everyone will be living on their Corrupted nonstop and yes.. they will spawncamp. Thats what happens when you give someone a spawn point.. and no Instant Recall Map jumping to safety…Or While Dead, choosing another spawn point on the map. Oh yes.. there will be pain! There WILL BE! And then my friend.. your rule set will get even weaker.. which.. is sad because there are many that truly do want SOME harsh reality PVX world to balance their fun in risk reward. But you know how it always goes… the minority will become PV Masters.. and the few that stick around will be unhappy a short while.. and the new players coming in.. will scream.. and think they are the first to scream, and GMs will get sick of their jobs.. and the hate will even come in the form of Lawsuits, and on and on… You think thats bad? Wait til they have to adjust the rules for Overseas Countries.. oh yeah, thats gonna happen. Believe it. And then.. oops.. everyone wants to go play overseas because its easier.. LOL.
All of this could have been avoided with a game title like.. "PAIN WORLD" If you cant hack losing it all and smashing your keyboard and mouse, DONT PLAY! … that should have been the tagline from the start. And they dont even have guys just randomly picking their pockets.. weak rainbow glitter chasers, we would have given our firstborn in the Ultima Online to only lose so little!!
Video was worth the post, it's good of you to show players what they can expect! And it also gives the dev team clarity on what they can expect down the road from player grieving!
Sounds like you need to grow a pair. You hardly lose anything and yes the people attacking don't have corruption at the current moment but neither do you if you die. They have had PVP disabled for awhile now of course the people who enjoy PVP are going to take advantage of it. The entire reason they put the notice out that they're enabling it was to warn people to make sure they are on edge and prepared.
