Intrepid Studios is making Ashes of Creation an MMORPG unlike anything we’ve seen. Not only are the bosses going to be more advanced than we’ve previously encountered, since they gain their abilities based on the world development, but also they are going to have rare gear types in the categories of Legendary and Legendary Unique. In fact, it is possible that in the case of a Legendary Unique there is really only one of them in the world. Is this going to work? Is Intrepid going to be able to pull this off? I’m not sure, but I spent 10 minutes on the topic at the request of a viewer.

  1. (I don't have alot of people to talk about AOC with, so I'm just spreading my ideas here maybe you could use one or two for a talking point in a future vid, who knows).

    Most interesting topic for me, is when people talk about classes and class/race/augment combinations and trying to figure out what I'd play.

    Here's where I'm at; Okay, so I figured out Tulnar seems to be the most interesting race from what we've seen so far because of the whole secluded under realm sitch (I believe, map wise pvp wise this will be the closest thing to another faction due to the Tulnar setting being more likely to start off and "set up shop" underground. Also being the dark, monstrous oddball race probably won't be fond of outsiders, and visa versa).

    And I'm gonna say that Bard will probably be quite sought after, and allow you to get into groups easier. Whilst not having to play a healer or tank, just play like a sudo DPS but with buffs and small heals? Count me in, perfect. Then I can pick a secondary class to customize it to my playstyle, historically I've liked bruiser classes so the Fighter is probably what I'm looking for.

    But, we still know jack shit. So who's to say, but fun to think about.

    And something else, the whole four physical, four magical racial stat growth thing makes sense. I believe it also makes sense for the Tulnar to be the hybrid race, the jack of all trades race when it comes to stat growth because they're a mix of different races.

    Maybe this will allow AOC to have what ESO couldn't seem to get down and actually have a viable option for hybrid classes. So like me, I take a Bard Tulnar, maybe I have enough physical stats to use two swords effectively on an arcane class when you pair in the Fighter augments increasing my weapon mastery/physical damage? Whilst also having enough magic stats to pull off my buffs and heals, and throw in some magic damage something different to a typical bard we'll find, which I see as just pumping everything into magic given they're arcane. If that makes sense?

  2. To be honest I prefer when the durability system doesn't destroy your item, but you cannot use it if it is at 0/100 durability. This way you still have to repair it, using the gold/item sinks and you have to use an inferior/ duplicate weapon until you repair it. This way it doesn't feel punishing to use your top gear.
    What I noticed in most game with a full destruction system is that most people just don't use the best " until it is the right time" which most times is never. And each time you loose to a mob/PC you feel like you were penalized because maybe you could have won with your best gear but you did not wish to lose that gear. Just an opinion.

    The example that I have in my mind when I say this is: Having to replace your gun every time you finish a magazine , or replacing a bow each time you finished the arrows in your quiver. I don't mind getting more bullets/arrows to continue to use that equipment, but getting a new gun/bow each time might become a chore than something meaningful and fun. I also understand the counter argument of in real life those can break as well and need replacing.

    I think it will come down to how liked/disliked the mechanic will be in the end. Doubt Intrepid will leave mechanics that are overall hated by the community and simply impede fun in a game. Like all things , it will come down to feel and balance.

  3. will these unique legendary be tradeable? and also is there any info on how many unique legendary will be on a server ie there are 10 staffs of wennie and 3 swords of butts and in total the server has 13 unique legendry's and also do you have a video on how crafting's gonna work or is that a future video?. ik the basics like how you can only max out one thing like max gathering or max cloth crafting ect so it encourages co op but thats basically it.
