Announcing 'game improving' cash shop items before the game is even out of production is literal proof of purposefully reducing quality of a product to make us pay more to fix it. All these big title games are being taken over by soulless investors who have no care whatsoever about the product or the audience, just profits.

2 months free game time, after which you pay 50$ to purchase it, and $23 per month subscription. No Cash shop.
To me, that says "We know you're going to play it, you wont be able to help yourselves. Just try and quit, you wont be able to."

I want a game with HARD levelling and GEAT end game, just so that I am motivated to level up, and so I'm proud I've levelled up
WHY IS IT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND
If they really cared, they would lock the boost behind an achievement wall like ESO. You have to earn it on your own before you can buy the service. Don't let people level boost unless they already have a max level character.
The game isn't finished and you're now having designers, artists and programmers waste time on cash shop items! Finish the dam game first, alarm bells should have been ringing when I heard Jeff was making an MMO.. its a cash grab!

My name is Bill, i'm a 31y old dad, my wife is giving me trouble and I work in a coal mine. I have only 2 hours a week to play the game. I don't want to pay to be able to catch up, i want upfront information if i can do it IN THE GAME, not in the shop and if I can enjoy the game.
They forget the point of an mmorpg. It's supposed to be a whole separate world that you can use to escape w/e shithole real life is. You could be some boring dude with a 9-5 in real life but be one of the best badasses on your server in game.

Isn’t new world going to be a buy and play without a sub? So if that’s the case then a item shop isn’t that outrageous, as much as I loath item shops I can understand where they are coming from, end of the day they do need to make money more then just off the one time purchase. However, ashes did a kickstarter that was more then successful then went on to do there own “Kickstarter” on there website and has been a constant money grab in more ways sense then, and still have yet to finish and release the kickstarted game but have already started some battle royal version on the same game and had a cash shop for that game aswell. I stopped following them long ago after so many emails about stuff I could buy from there unreleased game. I’m much more looking forward to new world, item shop regardless.
To be clear, Ashes of Creation, which was selling skins when the game doesn't even look it's remotesly close to being done, wants to talk about someone else posting about testing a cash shop?

How do you people expect a game like this to fund itself without a subscription? Who's going to pay the devs for updates, new raids, etc?
You complain about this, but not about the $15 mo/ sub fee for wow.
Come on guys, I can't think of many top online games without some sort of cash shop. That's just the way games are now.
I'm about to make my own videos just because there's so much to complain about the very philosophy behind game development now that no one can be expected to touch on everything
