  1. I was in the "drop NDA at all costs" camp, but I've shifted over to the "get something good to show first" faction. I would be surprised if Intrepid could sort out all of these show stopping bugs in just a couple of weeks. I want to see more of the game, but the ghosted AI Controller issue has cast light on the fact that a large number of gamers don't have much understanding of the process of creating a large and extremely complex piece of software and the requisite false starts, reverses, and outright train wrecks that will and must occur. Quite often, gamers' first tendency is to run for the torches and pitchforks (albeit sometimes deservedly so), and, having personally experienced the other western MMORPG that is on the horizon, I am convinced that AoC is the only game in town and must be given the breathing room it needs to prosper. Great video! Keep them coming! 🙂

  2. Sounds like they are trying to isolate the collision mesh from the visual mesh (AI actor spawning).
You dont want the same amount of verts on the collision mesh as the visual mesh (LOD), if you want to maximise savings on physics cost.
Both those meshes need to be unique, but enabled/killed in sync.
Might explain why you can walk through gates/siege.
Might explain hitting node obstacles that arent there.
