  1. TBF to CIG, when they started no other games company had publicly announced they were trying to do this tech, nobody knew Intrepid were doing it until recently. They have similar architect and ideas, but both companies games are in different engines, so that will be a factor. It can only benefit the rest of the gaming industry if both perfect what they doing, though CIG did tell AGS to fuck off when they wanted to buy their engine to replace lumberyard (that engine is why CIG made their own)

  2. And again missing the point!
Dud just do research on what the developers are talking about before exposing ur self that u have no understanding of what the technical differences are.

  3. I would delete this if I were you, take it from someone who is a backer of Ashes of Creation and Star Citizen and also likes watching your videos. The video Star Citizen posted about Server Meshing was not related to Ashes of Creation in any way outside of the title ''Server Meshing''. Star Citizen is a different game with different needs, same being for AoC. And neither of these 2 games have provided a fully functional server meshed environment with no bugs or crashes. If you take a shot at SC just makes you a hypocrite. Both SC and AoC are in a similar situation, both trying to achieve great achievements with support from ''backers''. If you tried being funny with this video you failed really bad. And as a side note to your description with ''"BuT iTs nOt tHe SaMe As StaR CiTiZen's SerVeR MeShInG!!1"No, you're right. It's better.'' , Star Citizen is a much more complex game in terms of mechanics and system than AoC is trying to be. You are comparing apples to eggs. And how can you judge that it's better when you kept saying that you had no technical knowledge of the server meshing technology. As other comments point out Asmongold comments, ''I'll believe it when I see it''.

  4. Ashes of Creation will be dead after 2 weeks. Its a soulless shop, not an MMORPG. Everything theyve shown looks absolutely awful. People are just on extreme copium because they NEED the next game to be good in order to stay sane in this world.

  5. I mean both can be true, Ashes has meshing, many games have meshing. Mesh that doesn't split a 2d tile but is on a 3d object that moves trough space and you can leave physical items on ground that stay we won't see any time soon from any other game so it's not a lie

  6. Why being so afraid of SC ? its 2 different games, nothing really comparable. Yes SC, will revolution the industry of video games by what they are accomplishing. AoC will still probably be a great mmo and its a good thing if they can use some benefits of SC titanesque work. I don't get why you guys are carrying so much hate (aka fear) about Star Citizen.

  7. Actually, SC "felt the need" to post "Server Meshing" the day after IS posted theirs. Felt like a "oh noes Mr. Bill" moment to me.
Also, if you listen to it, at 2 minutes 33 seconds, they talk about the duty cycle of the Transactions being Validated between BOTH the Clients and the Server…. that may work, it'd definitely help with speed and syncronization, but without Full server-side Validation, DLL injection will always be a viable cheat function on the client side. DOH

  8. This system will either be the highlight or downfall of Ashes. Sever systems like these are a nightmare to build all your systems around if you have to consider people get constantly moved between servers. Maybe with the right data structure it's easier but I wouldn't want to be the gameplay devs … LUL
