I feel like the only way to soften this up would be to have the respawn times for said bosses not be as long.
I think it will be ok. In other games the guild got together and set up times when they would be in there….pretty easy. 🙂

Definitely not a mistake! It builds drama! Between guilds and even nodes with ashes.
I doubt the spawn timer will be like clock work. And these raids may only happen when global events happen.

problem is AoC dont have system like BDO i mean more channels more spawn raid bosses,i mean if they all be on same channel thats be a crazy fight vs boss and pvp 😀
Open world raids with pvp is going to lead to big guilds having advantage. You'll need one raid for the boss and at least one on pvp guard duty
You are missing an integral part of Ashes raiding. Most of the dropped items will be crafting materials. Crafting materials will be dropped on death. Succesfully killing and getting the loot doesn't mean you will KEEP the loot. Killing the player(s) that carry the loot will be easier then killing the boss.
I think people are drastically overestimating the amount of open world PVP that will take place in Ashes. I've played numerous open world pvp games before and 90% of players avoid random PVP as much as possible.
I'm sure there will be a few alpha guilds looking to flex but they'll be rare. If you're not a fan of PVP just avoid making your home base a node with such a guild and you'll probably go weeks between fights. Most guilds will just pick path B if path A is already taken.
Raid bosses don't have weekly lockouts. They are a bit more farmable than your classic WoW raids. Likely a few hour respawn.
Can't compare a sandbox to a themepark.
I think only Lineage2 players would never even question this.. It's not the way, it's the only way.

sounds dumb..they need a safe area instead of getting ganked by massive guilds.. like the guild im in with 4500+ members, we would just steam roll through the smaller ones and it'll get boring quick. it just favors the larger groups
This is a Mortal Online 2 player's wet dream, Going from full hardcore to semi hardcore, with a population large enough to make the game feel alive. The MO2 community is flawed to it's core sadly. There's some gems in there, but sadly too many old mentalities there to show dominance and dominance only. AoC will succeed where MO2 keeps on failing.
5:45 you don't, you make raids instanced. Don't get why they think this is a good idea.
