when the game started in 2016 they had 20 devs. they have over 100 now and picked up tons since the alpha 1 and its picked up in the new year.
the project is mostly self funded by steven and his partner. they got like 5m from the kickstarter but 40m or more has been self funded. steven is an mmo player himself.

the "troll" looking character is the Vek and is considered one of the two "orc" sub races.
the going to wales i think was a personal holiday i think they implied he might have family there. he takes pictures as a hobby! it just happens to help ashes 🙂
regarding the vek wait until you see what you can do with their eyes in the character creator 🙂 Marcel do you have alpha 2 access? If alpha 2 is in '22 then that persistent alpha through to beta will be at least a year mate
