Ashes of Creation Is CHANGING The Way We Play MMOs

Innovation is important for an MMO to compete in the current age but innovation itself is not enough, that matters is the WAY you innovate and Ashes of Creation are pulling no punches when it comes to re-defining the way to play our MMOs. In today’s video we’ll be discussing this and how it may effect the long term health of the game, for better or for worse.

I wasn’t joking by the way, my last video did actually perform less than half of what my videos usually perform at so, please make sure to watch that one if you missed it: https://youtu.be/jZokBHiSYao

  1. I worry, that people will upload everything they discover and servers will slowly go for the same thing. Thus making all the servers use the predetermined path for "best" outcome possible…
But I do hope that that servers will have enough "casuals" so that "pros" wont have a chance to go for the best but it will be fairly random (I am talking about node development) and our experiences will be all different and unique.

  2. first: Love your content, anyone who can make fun of themselves while providing an actual perspective/news is awesome. You're also a top tier shit poster lmfao 10/10.

second: I hope your right with different servers having different towns but in reality people like asmon or any other huge name will heavily influence servers. "OMG 100% THE BEST PLACE TO GRIND" suddenly players swarm that location leaving it more difficult to grind in less populated regions because they are less developed(pure speculation obviously). As I write this if the progression is slow enough to allow people to discover more zones before regions really pick up to town/city or whatever it may solve itself….. though the nodes getting upgrades will heavily rely on how good the lower level node rewards are I think.

Anyway love the memes you give me a laugh.

  4. I don't understand why more games don't have Runescape type servers where you can hop between them. Makes it easier to play with friends, each world will be different if it's procedurely generated which makes always a new experience and makes it somewhat impossible to know everything about it before it releases as it's completely different

  5. I CAN say that bot gathering will not be a "viable" thing.
Locations vary too much AND people will likely kill obvious bots.
Sure, they might not fight back, and you'll go red, but then your Other friends can do the same.
ONE kill won't matter much at all and clear fast. Speaking from experience.
And killing a bot 3-4 times will totally make anything they did worthless, as you get 1/2 loot each time if they didn't fight back.

  7. Thats just simply not true. Yes you propably in some cases cant make a guide on a specific location where you can efficiently grind, but every type of node will be somewhat similar. So instead of just guiding you on a specific place on the map, guides will be "find metropolis, go to the north of the metropolis, farm this camp". So yea it will be a bit more diverse and stuff and im hyped to see it but you certainly will not need much of server specific guides etc.

  8. I'm hoping ashes blows up in the way that Elden Ring did and maybe rock the industry, but being skeptical like I am I'm mostly expecting it will be a niche and kinda live but fade off into a corner like Eve online.

  9. Only MMO without guide will be some proceduraly generated map what wipes every month including monsters etc. and that is pretty much unrealistic in this time.
