  1. Greetings fellow degenerates – Been dealing with some serious IRL issues which has caused the video uploads to slow ever so slightly – Infact, today's video wasn't even planned. However, I am using the time to put more effort into the editting so, hopfully it's noticable 😂oh… you didn't notice? 🙁 ok…

  2. Ashes of creation as far as the hype goes and as far as the business model subscription over free to play any day is to me my ideal MMO. Not to mention that the CEO is somebody who has an intense passion for MMOs. This to me means he knows what players are looking for and is going to focus the experience towards them rather than just making money. Also the fact that it's now on unreal engine 5 and looks really good is a plus. The fact that it's open world and not instanced is awesome. The systems in it are really interesting especially the animal husbandry profession. The game just looks like it has the potential to be amazing and it certainly has the vision because of who's in charge. This game has the potential to be huge and is the only one that fits all of the criteria for the classification of the wow killer type game. It has the potential that said, the potential has to be realized, the potential must come to fruition. If that potential comes to fruition, it will definitely take the throne.

  3. Amazon games have no soul, I play Lost ark it's an okay game, and I also know that this is technically a Korean game but nonetheless it's lacking soul, it's lacking a story that invests you emotionally. It feels like flashy lights shiny stuff and bright colors it feels vain. It feels as if it lacks a certain depth.

  4. Lost ark is also full of mechanics that were specifically designed with the human psychology, and manipulating it in mind. These mechanics are designed to frustrate you and make you desire to get further and present you with the option of spending real money. It's really funny how free to play games make you pay the most money or bait you into paying the most money out of any type of game. Free to play is very very deceptive, and paradoxical. Free to play but most likely you'll pay more than with any other type of game. They make it so that you have to pay money basically to be competitive in the game. That said you can certainly play casually totally free. Also the systems are needlessly complicated some of them, and definitely one that needs to get the hell nerfed out of it is honing. You spend hours and hours of your time only to have it completely wasted it's just a bad system and it's obnoxious it's so bad that it's obnoxious.

  5. This game as fun as it is, has an insidious psychological goal to take your money. Same as Genshin Impact did. It was only a matter of time with lost ark. Sad but true. I played the alpha/beta and knew after 4-5 hours what would happen in end game. 💸💸💸💸

  6. Most mmorpgs loss 50% of their population after the 1st month. A new MMORPG comes out a lot of players try it then the natural drop off happens. Ashes of Creation will have higher drop off because it is an open world pvp mmorpg. PvP Sandbox MMORPGS have a hard time retaining players and getting a steady stream of new players. This Analysis on Lost Ark is wrong.

  7. Ashes of creation is going to need more than a fancy node gimmick to keep the players coming back day after day. You can only take an mmo so far on game mechanics alone. If there's no story worth investing your time in then the games going to feel very soulless and quickly syphon off it's main player base leaving only a small number of die hard fans.

  8. If intrepid is aware of every single of your content. Could you PLEASE make a video concerning release day of AOC?

Like "Intrepid please be the rising star of the MMORPG genre in every way – especially Server capacity at release day!"

For real the Servers at release day must be perfect. Not only the game itself, but also the technical part should be just as players could only imagine in their wettest dreams of about perfect MMO releases. Just sayin🤷🏼‍♂️

  10. I'm OK with Pay to Win: I'll never win no matter what, so it doesn't matter if I pay or not. I could put $1,000/month into some game and still not be the top player, so there's really no downside to spending $0.

  11. Ashes of creation looks amazing right now for sure, but players haven't tested any of the core systems of the game and we don't know how it will hold up when players dive into it come Alpha 2. Imo you don't need to hype up ashes by constantly shitting on other titles in this genres, if Ashes is as good as you are hyping it up to be, it'll make its own case soon enough.
I personally can't wait for it to finally release but PvP mmorpgs are bound to never achieve greatness. Atleast 75-80% of the mmorpg community are PvErs and if the game constantly forces them in pvp encounters, it'll pretty quickly lose majority of its player base. An mmorpg needs to be mainly Pve if it hopes to make any kind of impact in the market. Just my two cents

  12. Has Intrepid changed direction with the Py'rai the wiki says Native American influence, I can't see that with the character model or the architecture.

My humble opinion the Py'rai base model should resemble an Native American with Wood elven facial features , they would adorn their hair, weapons with turquoise/silver and eagle feathers.

the racial mount can be a war buffalo .

My answerer for the question "how does a forest exist in the middle of the desert"?

That's easy in all biomes where the Py'rai control nodes their architecture stays the same but the textures used to build their structures would have to match the materials that would have been gathered in the node ie Skins, wood etc.

  13. While I'm on-board the copium train (and heavily invested in AoC), I think the RIOT MMO is going to be I N S A N E

Also, Loving FF14 & GW2! AoC is not the "last hope" 🙂

  14. What do you think, would it be a good idea to have a movement/fight system like in Warframe? That gameis basically an MMO with abilities but combined with the insane freedom that the movement gives, even a weaker geared player can beat a level made for better gear. I had shitty weapons but I jumped around so fast, enemies couldn't hit me enough times to get me down.
I would love to see movement combined with abilities, after Warframe I literally can't play any looter-shooter :D, tried Destiny but I feel like I am in a cage.

Or atleast would be cool if they would make the skills like in Path of Exile, so we could modify them, a single powerfull beam skill could be modified to shoot 5 weaker beams covering wider area.

  15. I went into LA knowing about the RNG and figured hey, its a free game, how much fun can I get out of it before it pisses me off. Turns out, quite a lot, but there is a wall and I am hitting it, so probably out soon. You will never find me paying any amount of money to progress in a game. I am happy to pay lots of money for cool cosmetic stuff because you know, it looks cool, but I am not paying to advance. I am actually about to start playing New World because I like the changes coming up for it, but I can't wait for Ashes. I still play FFXIV when patches come out and I still play GW2 (End of Dragons is pretty awesome), still grinding out some stuff in ESO. I just like MMO's.

  16. That decline is normal , 500k people playing at same time an mmorpg is insane, i doubt even ff14 or wow have that Numbers, since they never show how Many players are really playing , just how Many accounts are registered.

You keep mention gw2 for everything but you should know that game have being surviving with 10k-20k peek daily near 500k eu/usa, 250k daily players Korea , and the rest Japan, russia, i doubt any MMORPG have that numbers

  17. 1. the point of LA is not just to increase your gear score, its about collecting things, doing rapport trying new content etc. the gs aspect is only to gate off content so you eat it up 1 by 1
    2. the argument of LA realeasing things quick to incentivise P2W is stupid. if you looked into it at all you would know that they are trying to catch up EU and NA to the korean version of the game so they all get content at the same time. Yes it was a mistake to not give more catch up mechanics for casual players to get to the new released content, but how would have they known that it was needed. smilegate gave plenty of time for people to prepair in korea because they didnt need to rush things out. (side note: they have said that they are planning to change things after Argos release, with how things are released and what is released)
    3. Every mmo has a target audience, wether it be PVE or PVP. AoC (from what i know) is focused more on PVP while LA is focused on hardcore PVE that will clearly not appeale to casual players (even less so from the lack of catch up mechanics). you cant call it bad just because its not your type of game.
    4. Leveling from 1-50 is by far the worst part of the game and clearly you did not make it past that point. the entire game is focused on the endgame, the story is cleache and un interesting because its not primarly a story driven game. thats also why after getting to 50, you pretty much dont need to level 1-50 ever again.
    5. AoC looks good, but the playerbase of MMOS are not this casuall anymore. leveling will be frustrating for many people BECAUSE its slow (same with LA), once people find out the best nodes to have on the map, every server is going to look the same because they want to min-max progress.

didnt think ide write this much ngl. i just feel like youve played LA till lvl 30, quit then googled what endgame progession looks like while being very bias towards AoC.

both games cater to a different group of players, end of story.

(also, if anyone thinks that its amazon making the decisions, im sorry to say but your just dumb)

  18. It’s really hard to consider lost ark an “Amazon game” Or really compare design decisions on these two games. One is a brand new game they actually made another is just a game they publish completely made by another company.
