Imagine playing an MMO by yourself the entire time, never needed people for questing, dungeons or even raids!? This video goes into gaming company’s making MMOs completely depended on just yourself. Is that good for the average MMO player’s mindset? This is why Ashes of Creation really excites me because group play is going to be necessary and incentivize! Let’s talk about it! This is very interesting!
Lost Ark has potential for group play but there is just no reason to. Better incentives would be a great start to form groups for different activities!
Up until recently, I have been a player who enjoyed the single player experience. I felt like I had to keep up with the Meta in the games, and because my friends/coworkers and I had trouble scheduling times together, I played mostly by myself. I don't want that trend to continue, and its why I am getting into Ashes even before it comes out. I think both multi and single player experiences have a place in a game, even an MMO. But the single player parts should be just an extra add on, or a side quest, and in no way a requirement. This is an MMO and should be focused on the multiplayer aspect.
