  1. I would say that creating classes is not the first big chunk of augmentation.
Augmentation specifically comes from adding an augment to the Active Skills from the Primary Archetype.
But, there are several categories of augments: Racial augments; Node augments; Social Org augments; Religious augments… in addition to class augments.
Some people may use augments from other categories before they use class augments.

Really, the main thing we need to know to have an in-depth discussion about what we'd like from the augment system is to know the 4 Augment Schools for each Archetype. We know some of the Active Skills for some of the Primary Archetypes, but, we really need to know what Active Skills a Fighter or Bard or Summoner will have, before we can think about what augments we might be able to add to their Active Skills.

One thing I can say is: I hope one of the 4 Augment Schools for Rogue is: Shadow. And I hope Shadow will be a type of damage similar to how Holy is a type of damage.

  2. Identity is primarily based on the Primary archetype – obviously – the word primary says it all.
All Tanks will be using Tank Active Skills.
A Necromancer is primarily a Summoner. Cleric Augment Schools will somewhat change the impact of the Summoner Active Skills – in such a way that there will be Necromancer motifs visually, as well.

  3. I'm hoping for Primary skill & spells, secondary class skills and spells, which change with weapon type wielded. Secondary passive and active skills and abilities, the former might be affected positively or adversely based on the armour type you have chosen for example. I'm just super curious as what they do to make it interesting, can't wait to roll my mage and see what a Spellsword (Battlemage) entails. I just want to sling spells with my sword while wearing plate hehe 🙂
