just imagine when the game release how many paid customs will be already added to the game … this packs killing the game before it even release
Player collision alone makes it important to have multiple entry point and destructible walls, a 500 vs 500 makes this even more on a factor.
Attackers would come down to AOEing the choke point and defenders will become tank and healer meat shield management.
Siege needs to have a way of breaking up the bulk of the forces so their is management and strategy involved, otherwise you’ll just be facing a gate boss, the defenders meta become simplified be the attackers meta becomes simplified.
I don’t want a castle siege sign up sheet just be the meta of the one key point of breaking through a few gate choke. points
The one thing that really made me pay attention to ashes is what I’d call ‘natural conflict’
(War based on resource and representation) not just being auto slotted into a faction.
The way the economy, is tide into the node system really makes me hope we will see unique histories emerge from server to server.
I used to play in very competitive guilds in games like wow, GW2, etc, for the pvp wvw parts of them.
I liked this for a while, but eventually it was more like a pick up put down feeling to winning and loosing. Just a in and out match really.
The actual risk and investment I see in these nodes really strikes me, I could see myself doing more as part of the nodes and world, not just roaming around in skirmishes and sieges.
Posting just to help the algos, but while i'm here, thanks for highlighting the forum post about skins, I logged in the forums just to reply and agree to that post as well, we the consumer deserve answers or give us the option to refund specific skins.
