  1. I have serious doubts that ashes of creation will be a good game. You yourself said Steven is really making it very similar to Archeage. We all know he loved Archeage as he has mentioned it many times. The animations and character models leave a lot to be desired and now that they are rolling with UE5 (I love unreal engine btw) means that their models look even that much more jarring and removed from what they should look like. They all need to be redone for UE5. Time will tell but I'd love to know why you are so excited for AoC? Thanks. Like the videos.

  2. The wait for AOC is quite the challenging one
But going outside and breathing fresh air once a day gives some more endurance
Because too much hopium= too much stressium
Gotta give love some breathing space some time

  3. As a GW2 main, I gotta agree 100%. I still actively aim for all the achievements I can get but knowing I'll never get up there both due to unobtainables and missed dailies is a terrible feeling. The reason I still go for it though is that I like the game so much that I'm willing to achieve everything I can now.
I won't make the same mistake with Ashes once it releases. The only issue I'm worried about is just how much will be reliant on having friends and a competent guild and if there'll be time-limits.

  4. I'm sure most of us have tried most of the mmo,s released in the past ten plus years lol if Stephen n gang mash/get inspired by the best bits of even half the titles, ashes is going to be a banger! šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘

  5. BDO has the most expensive alt system out of any MMO ever. The combination of weight and inventory slots and costumes that give benefits that can't be obtained from playing the game , and so on, its crazy how much character bound pay to win stuff bdo has.

  6. While I get your points on WoD WoW garrisons, I think that having a diverse market and a complicated crafting and farming system would force people to travel outside of the Guild Garrison walls. If you had transformed land in order to grow biome specific plants- it may prove to expensive to allocate land in your garrison to do that. Also, things like mining should never be as limited as WoD and materials should never grey but bc components in more powerful items (as you have stated in a previous video). Diversity and an a commitment to maintain the relevance of every zone in the world would cure the stuck in garrison woes.
Also, if a Garrison over specializes in plants or items- the market could at a whim sink their investments, which, should again send hunters back out into the world to retool the guild garrison. Idk I think allowing crafters be crafters and allowing the game to be almost non-combative for some players is a boon.

  7. One of the things that BDO does and people either despise it or learn to accept it is all the AFK activities. It's basically legalized botting so there is not as much incentive to illegalized botting and gold mining. Since BDO is not tabbed targeted, it is a lot more difficult to create botting programs. I agree it is the worst economy except for all the other mmo economies out with the exception of EVE online who PA purchased.

  8. I agree with the idea of having alts to run the freehold, but I would prefer to not have that. I only played a little bit of BDO, but I remember it had workers you could buy to do stuff for you. What if you could hire them to work the freehold buildings, then queue stuff up like eve online where it will work on several items for a certain time span.

I agree that the economy of Ashes will be very interesting. I like the idea of fighting over gathering nodes and then having to transport goods to proceed them then again to sell them. If they implement the localized resource pools based on environment as well, then that just adds more to the complexity of gathering and selling resources.
