Yes I dont like the idea of guarenteed hits. There is zero skill involved in guaranteed hits. There is no opportunity to make mistakes, which is essential to enable people to lose, in a proplerly balanced game. Now if you was to say that tab target now comes with RNG miss chance (to mimic the skill required for free targetted combat)…I can almost guarantee that tab target players would be most upset at the mention of RNG and/or the chance to miss. I can also guarantee that the gold sellers and bots would complain the most, as their script would be broken when you replace automated predictable returns with actively manned uncontrolled chaos. The key word in combat is REACT. If you dont need to react to someone else, and just play scripted whackamole after min maxing the optimal build throughput and rotation, then it isnt actually combat and zero skill is involved. Its simply number crunching, with a large dose of the latest exploit thrown in (to add flavour). True combat is about staying alive the longest, not killing each other the quickest. They are two very different mindsets.
