  1. Dude. Its disrespectful to comment on someone elses twitch/interview/channel without providing links to said channel. You are profiting from someones content, the least you can do is provide a link.

  2. Asmongold is a bit of a persona for Zach. Rich is a friend of his and one of his partners in One True King (OTK).

Rich is a long-time WoW Player and has done a lot of eSports Play-by-Play https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.earlygame.com/rich-campbell-fired-by-blizzard/amp/

Zach's receding hairline is a long running joke between him and his chat – when he made his FFXIV character last week he ended up choosing the name Asmongold Bald even though his character has a full head of hair

  3. the gank thing shouldn't be a problem. It's actually awesome. If ppl really play the game, it could have mercenary guilds (that protect goods or steal), they could use the system of bounty hunter properly and let people mark on their maps info for others to see (from the same guild or family), they can add NPC guard of many sorts (travelers, scouts, gatekeepers, patrol/guard of the city – I fully expect the city to be PVPable, like it was on archeage- ), they can aument the penalty to die while corrupted (I would add a random drop of gear and 5 random from inventory for 10h + corrupted players and 5 random inventory for the ones with less than 10h)

  4. Thankfully, the audience in question is not representative of the wider mmo community. Most of Asmongolds viewers are young children or people with similar mental capacity to young children. I mean, the man mainly does reaction videos on YouTube😅

  6. I watched most of the interview. Listening to Steven, he gives me hope that Ashes will be polished when it does come out.
Because they are taking their time to do it right, instead of rushing and patching problems later.
I think AoC will be "the one" to make me cancel my sub to wow.

  7. The people being most judgmental are the same people that did 0% research on the game and jump immediately to conclusion. I.e. dumb people. Its like stating there is a cash shop and you get 50/100 people booing immediately without even first asking if its just all cosmetics. They are also the uneducated people that don’t understand what investors are or how they ruin games, ergo they have no clue how major a point that is or how much power/say the CEO has for his game since hes already funded the game. Its an relief the game wont instantly turn into a crap show of p2w and cash shop items placed purposefully there for purposeful hurdles placed in game just so you can pay back your investors who’ve basically ruined the game now. This is how most games are nowadays and why most go free to play just to rake in $$ from whales at the expense of actual good, core gameplay and expansions.

  8. Once Steven started taking shots at others for not communicating with their playerbase, and corporates railroading the gamers and squeezing them for money – the chat loved him!
