This video is a discussion about #AshesofCreation combat system. #Intrepid has already said we will be getting some major combat changes coming soon. They implemented the backend for those changes already. These are some of my thoughts on the direction I would like to see Ashes go with their combat.

Not having played, I can't actually comment on the combat, but I've often thought that the Hybrid concept would run into trouble. Nearly every CC that I have watched has had negative reactions to it, at least to some degree, and I do hope that Intrepid can create something that is fun and meaningful, rather than having to punt and regurgitate a combat system that is a clone of that used in some other game.
I did a poll on my channel regarding action vs tab, and action won 51-49. I thought it would be a landslide for action. Anyway, I'm with you, I prefer tab for some of the reasons you mentioned here and a lot of others. I would be pretty much fine with the combat as is if they only changed the moving forward on basic attack, I hate that.
It seems that Intrepid is trying to cover the bases as far as combat systems go since they most likely realize that players will be coming from different games that use different combat systems. They don't seem to have a clear vision for a combat system specific to their game, so they are content to try to accommodate players that are used to certain combat systems.
Another good video!
I wonder … do they have click-to-move mode also ?
Hybrid was fun while playing with wands, but I can't recall a single time where it had a true benefit while engaging in PVE. PVP is a different monster though. Definitely going to have to experiment more.
