  1. That was an excellent discussion and interview. I am definitely up for viewing more of these in the future. You are crushing it between this and the continuous test updates. Ohhh and you don't need a bootcamp to know how your camera quality is because your community will gladly let you know all the things that bother them in the comments haha.

  2. About niche versus trying to appeal to everyone : while I agree with the logic that a game must know what it is, and must be designed for a type of gameplay, there is the paradox that being too narrowly focused on a niche type of player also destroys a game. I am referring to known cases like Darkfall and Mortal Online that had and have such a narrow conception of the game design, that only a few players really make it their home. EDIT: just realized Wolfheart/Michael said that too. 😛 and Xillin also later. Anyhow, I feel like Ashes of Creation and New World are both finding a decent balance, but mostly Ashes of Creation. New World looks like it will manage to frustrate both PvP and PvE players :P.

  3. About open communication during game development, another nice example are the makers of Crowfall. They did a monthly devstream and showed everything from 2015 to now. I am not saying that game will be a success. The market looks too competitive currently, but they might manage to have a decent community and have it live many years.

  4. Let me know when you get to a point where you want a website for the channel. I'm a novice web developer who is working on building a business would love to add you to my portfolio.

  5. Maybe I don't understand the whole "boot camp" thing correctly. To myself it seems like the term "boot camp" is them trying to dictate to creators what they can make videos about how and why etc. Which gets my "awww hell-naw" gene kicking into overdrive. I'm hoping I'm wrong on that, because who the hell do they think they are to tell you what you can or cannot do? They need to stick to what they do and let creators do what they do, you DON'T WORK FOR THEM. Look at me getting all riled up, probably over nothing too. XD Best of luck with your channel, I'll be here because I too am a PvE player and am looking forward to something new to immerse myself in. I'm hopeful that this game will be something for all players PvE & PvP respectively.

  6. time flows so smoothly when I watch your videos, so well presented and entertaining that even a 45min video goes by like its a 15min video. I also wanted to let you know that the effort you've been putting into your videos is highly noticeable and you've honestly came a long way since I discovered your channel .. like the entertainment factor was always there since the first time i watched you but you can definitely notice the growth in professionalism and how well you present the content. btw you're legit my favorite ashes of creation youtuber so keep up the good work and mark my words: you will pop off big time and i see you being one of the top 5 biggest ashes of creation content creators . til next video, have a good one and stay safe brother!

  7. Really glad you paid for the pre-Alpha! Been following you ever since, to keep myself updated on AoC progress 🙂 Honestly, this might be the game that save this stale and stagnant genre.
