  1. WHOisROXIS does a great job breaking down the latest Bard changes in Ashes of Creation. They clearly explain the impact of these changes, pointing out important buffs like the display of B-Resonance decks and the boost to Discordance. They also discuss the needed nerfs to Dark Lullaby and Maning Melody, while stressing the importance of keeping the class unique. This video is a must-watch for anyone playing Bard in Ashes of Creation

  2. Hey everyone, Roxis here!
Today, we’re diving into the Bard changes that just landed on the PTR last night.
As you can see, there are quite a few updates to the Bard, so let’s break them down!

Bard Resonance stacks are now visible in the player UI.
Currently, keeping track of Resonance stacks in the buff bar is a hassle, so this is a welcome quality-of-life improvement. Definitely a positive change!

Dark Lullaby has been hit with a significant nerf.
This spell has been a reliable and straightforward damage tool in PvP, which is likely why it was targeted.
I think this adjustment is fair—it tones down the Bard’s power slightly without undermining the class’s core identity.

Chilling Lament also saw some adjustments.
This ability was never really about dealing damage, so the changes aren’t a huge deal. It’s just been scaled back a bit.
That said, I’d love to see a rework for this ability in the future, as it feels underwhelming and only serves to slow and debuff enemies.

Discordance received a buff to its AoE damage and cooldown.
This is a fantastic update! Shorter cooldowns always make gameplay more engaging, and having impactful abilities to use really strengthens the class’s identity.
