And the content bit is just wrong, he wasn't going after people who was just talking about it, it was against the 3 streamers who were actively trying to hate raid him and actively thinking it would be content to fight him. Again i really don't like him but not having facts and just content farming is definitely a desperate play lol. Like the voice changer thing.. was literally disproven when he went to the streamer awards and talked, its going to be lighter when he talks farther away but you can tell his voice is a lot deeper than the clip they showed here. I didnt like the guy from day 1. All this crying about how a mount in wow made more money than Starcraft 2, the game he worked on, was so obnoxious. Like, of course it made more money. It had like 100 times the playerbase and wasnt a niche game. Just glad he is getting the attention he always wanted.
Corruption baiting is that they are trying to get people to kill his people while his people do not fight back. It's a mechanic in the game where if you kill someone who does not fight back you become corrupted. While corrupted you lose more exp and drop gear when you are finally killed.
While I think he did nothing wrong in the HC wow thing (if you are told to run, you run, no take backs. Get out, reset, and go back in after you regroup.) but his ego with this other stuff is unforgivable. He's a bitch. He will become a target for everyone else. Just make sure you alpha strike anyone who attacks first so you don't get corrupted. There are tools in the game so you don't 'accidentally' hit a non-combatant so you don't have to worry about not doing something you don't intend to.

I remember calling him out (not aggressively) about his hypocritical attitude in the past (got timed out, not perma banned because he wasn't that obviously bad yet). He has, a few times, discredited certain groups, was then countered (with facts and logics) and all he did was double down and then say that those groups he was against were all the same because a few people went after him (with insane death threats to be fair)… He says "don't generalize people" when some say he is just an obvious ex-blizzard employee, and then he goes and does the same.

Like, sure, he isn't an absolutely terrible person and has done SOME good things, but he does have a pretty sh*t personality and has done some not so great things before doubling down on his takes… Just because a guy has done some okay things doesn't suddenly make all the sh*t he's done vanish into thin air…

sorry not sorry devs of ashes, the game looks 100% souless, there is zero life breathed into it, all i see is ill developed NPC and "enemies" the UI is minimalistic at best, hopeless on average, ashes went from a hope sought by POE brough, only to bring guild wars 1 alpha to family and friends build from 1997 to 2025. the game is trash and soulless
I do have to say the video is good, really entertaining but it is heavily propaganda but not in the way of cutting out parts that speak for itself, in other words defamation.
First of all i have to say this video is my only info of pirate on this game
and there is no bias, but ill explain some points i noticed that i dont see anyone acknowledging that are crucial to fully understand the situation from all sides (pirate, the person who made the video and the outside perspective that all have massively different viewpoints i believe (it seems there are like 8 misunderstandings in it all)).
The first thing i noticed for the cause of it all is that pirate says during the big battle that starts it, is that the federation were in their spawn or something like that, so that would be what starts it with their being a display of bad etiquette, (as pirate said the justification and reason for the blacklist is the presumed bad etiquette) but i think it wouldn't be intentional as its a big group that also probably contains numerous people that dont understand things like that. so it can't be controlled so it shouldnt be that big of a response verbally but the blacklist is what should be the response, (actually its a positive thing for the guilds players and the server)
1. If you see someone you believe is intentionally doing something rude like that you should respond with fairly fighting back with what you can do, (you dont want cheaters, trolls or tyrants on a server thats what this is about after all. (Trolls as in people just trying to hurt people not like those that are positive)
2. If you are in a guild that is being attacked by another guild you need to fight back (especially in a competitive sandbox that encourages pvp like pirate expressed). (But both guilds went too far in the targeting as it seems they targeted the actual noobs of either guild instead of only going after of a moderate level)
Its already long so ill skip the rest of the direct points
The "Blacklist" just means the two guilds are at war and rivalry supports many things with engagement but a fully active rivalry like a proper war is the most fun interesting thing for people who want to be involved and dedicated to the guilds and the server as a whole.
