  2. I agree with a lot of your points, BUT, the current state of Purify is not the issue you make it. [Purify] should be buffed(or at least a spec into it) that allows for, not only the removal of conditions, but an X seconds protection from new ones.

Whether its PvE or PvP, conditions are applied WAY too rapidly. If youve ever fought a Zombie Thaumaturge and have to spam flash cure the MILISECOND you complete purify, just to heal, you know my pain. And, in PvP? Please, you have more than 2 people attacking a target, and you PERMANENTLY have conditions on you.

From a strategic standpoint, maybe you could pre-cast it to block stuff like sleep. I think theres a lot of uses for condition protection, but it might require a 2 or 3 second cooldown.

  3. As someone who played all kind of healers in WoW and GW2 I found cleric in AoC kinda boring and less challenging. It was too easy to keep the group up due to a huge amount of tools with overpowered heals and infinite mana. I was always wondering why people were complementing my healing like come on it's not hard at all to keep your grp alive with that many aoe and instant healing spells.

  4. Id really like to see a cleric, that doesnt use shadow mechanics at all, but rather more powerful light spells. You could even make it so the class combination with mage as secondary, would make a light mage dps

  5. I am only in the low teens, but I absolutely love the feel of cleric, especially while soloing or in small groups of 2-3 people. I am using wand to pull, and then sword/focus while I aoe the mobs down. Feels so good.

  6. Ressurection is one of the things I think WoW did really well. Having druids with in combat rez, but a long ass cooldown, combined with other classes having no cooldown rez that cannot be used in combat, felt quite balanced.

  7. Man, AoE Heal/Damage skills remind me of the Dragonfly Omniframe from Firefall. Healing Wave as a knockback/damage/heal utility was so useful for pushing bugs off the Thumper in a pinch

  8. I used Mend to help orient myself to the position of other players. Sometimes you need to chase down an eager tank or reposition to top off a ranged dps trying to kite a mob, but you can’t find them amidst the chaos of spell effect animations. Toss out a few mends and it’ll point you in the right direction.

  9. Purify isn’t as strong as you think in pvp. 3 dispels = 3 stacks of any debuff. In pvp you are quickly stacked up with many stacks of wounded, snared, etc. And dispel effects only remove one stack at a time.

  10. divine power is great with using it to bypass cooldown. im the best cleric this game has, ive put in the most testing over the years, and im here to tell ya narc, this mechanic is amazing. ya just gotta learn how to use it. Elona.

  11. How does he complain about Purify not being instant cast, when he can use Divine Power to make it instant cast. That is why the mechanic exists. Only thing I would note is it would be nice to trigger Divine Power first then the spell for real instant casting feeling.

  12. Ok Narc, i hear you say "The Endgame", but we are not in the Endgame yet. We right now max lvl 25 and thats not the max Level. Which Means there can be alot changes later with Subclass and Mainclass.. Right ?

  14. with bards, mitigation, and lifesteal, i'm pretty sure once we get secondary arch no one will play Cleric 🙁 at max levels bards can already take our place I can't imagine when they can spec into healing, or when the tanks get healing second and dont need pocket heals 🙁

i wish they leaned more into a cleric being the harbinger or life OR death. in Ashes lore the clerics here are not supposed to be healers, they are supposed to have the power decide who lives or dies. Sure i have a resurrection but it doesn't even cancel the xp debt? so what's the point right?

i have umm 3 damage spells on 30 second cooldowns lol. and outside of spam healing the tank we do absolutely nothing in team content.

Cleric needs a huge over haul. We OVER HEAL everything, i would nerf the healing almost 50% and add REAL damage, or other support skills like the bard has. The literal most unique and OP thing about clerics is they have TWO stuns. the heals aren't even special it's the ability to stun into a stun thats special and we need more things like that.

  15. I spent the majority of my time @25 healing 4th floor carphin. I also cut my teeth between lvl 20-25 learning how to heal tanks thru 4-5 beetles in the desert. Deliverance definitely is not my bread and butter. I roll hots, double tap mend, keep flare on cooldown and most importantly use BARRIER. All of your heals that hit you and your friendly target can be used directly after barrier to replace the health (not mana) cost. Divine infusion is absolutely broken, it's one of clerics strongest o shit buttons, or DMG boosters… You should stick to mayor as an archetype this is a poor guide for healers
