Yeah anyone who thought gear should be that strong just wants a repeat of ArcheAge or any other Korean PvP MMO where you can just 1 tap someone because you have a legendary weapon and they still have uncommon armor. Not actually being good at the game, they just want to have that power fantasy and pretend like they outplayed you.
2:00 isn’t an auto attack it’s the Mage’s firebolt ability, which has 3 charges.
Still one of the weaker damaging spells in the kit though…

If you want very group focused gameplay, try pantheon. Having a blast. Different focus though, less flashy, more down to earth. EA starts in dec 13, i played it for a few weeks before and the core is a lot of fun, though its very far from complete.

it sounds like an awesome game, but I don't think they've engineered it for playability and pvp sadly. It'll be one of those games – if /when it ever comes out – that people enjoy the same way they enjoy skyrim, not a WoW killer. Rooting for them nonetheless

1. I misspoke about the auto attack for the ranger. I don't play ranger and just listened to the opinion on the clip. I'll be better but the point stands.
2. Sarcasm aside, my disdain for easy buttons in games is real. You can have valuable gear and still have challenging experiences. I came to ashes because they don't want an easy mode.
3. Kate Beckinsale remains a goddess.

Im glad they found the bug that was making a mockery of their balance, cant wait to see how its "intended" to be this weekend, im still worried about the future of the game post launch when we are level 50s with decent/good gear going back to some lvl 20 zone and picking on noobs running their first caravan, as a random example, this power progression overall is just entirely counter to the sandbox open world pvp formula, goodluck to whatever intern they have on the job to address it XD
That's great, but even 1/3rd the scaling is too high. So it'll take 9 auto-attacks instead of 3? We're still looking at some serious TTK issues here.
Btw, the Bard you showed getting killed was the one who was solo'ing Firebrand, I watched hours of his stream. As he pointed out, he was ALSO in Legendary gear. 1/3rd isn't nearly enough, it needs to be like 1/10th that amount.

I don't want gear to be important at all personally I am not about gear progression I want skill progression. I am aware that's no going to be the case in aoc but I do hope they go quite a bit in this direction from where it is now

Wait, I'm confused!?!? Doesn't OP gear make PvP more challenging? If you can get dropped by auto attack, that sounds really challenging. Essentially becomes CounterStrike in fantasy form.

My opinion even if is not gonna be popular…legendary gear should not be available for players to craft.
I fear this game will die because its only gonna be fun to content creators who are in big guilds and sweats, in big guilds. WoW only exists as the most popular mmo because it realized catering to the top 1% wont make you money… YOU like this and people like you like this because you have randos to fuck with that arent organized in the same way… That will change after a month of release and you people wont find enjoyment anymore. Always the top 5% of player base or streamers that dont understand either. Can there be a medium? Sure. But the point of legendary gear is to be overpowered for things like this. Maybe not solo.
