  1. I bought the Alpha 2 key and played for maybe a half hour before deciding that I didn't want to grind an alpha version of a game. We even have TWO guilds set up in Nyce's discord. So grouping wasn't an issue. I just wasn't feeling it. I kind of wish now that I'd just bit the bullet and done it. The game looks really enjoyable. I am getting serious Ultima Online / Dark Age of Camelot vibes (obviously with updated graphics and combat) but very similar in overall feel. I do have the option to play whenever the servers are up for testing, though, so I'm not worried about missing out on anything yet. What server are you on? You don't want to try to solo your way through the leveling grind, for sure.

  2. While im glad this kind of game is making a comback for the audience who desires this, I know theres a lot of veteran MMO players like myself that share a thought that… yeah, I am older now. I dont have the kind of time to spend the time needed to play like I did back in 2008. I also just dont want to sit there and slog. I want to have fun, which means no pvp as well. Hopefully this game doesnt turn out to be a flop like the rest have been.

  3. If the developers do not focus on combat and making it not slow and clunky, they're already going to lose a HUGE part of the community. From what the ALPHA tests have shown, there isn't really anything that screams "PLAY ME!"

  4. It's a great foundation for an amazing classic MMO experience. Realistically, it's gonna be quite a few years before the devs finish all the content that they hyped up. But once they do, it's going to be such a deep and expansive world. I just hope it doesn't get stuck in development forever like star citizen

  5. I’m guaranteeing this game fails and it’s vastly due to the shills who won’t even give honest feedback. No one is nothing this outdated bs that’s been in the works for 4 years and needs another 2-4years. 8 years and you expect this game to work vs a game like ffxiv that got remade and launched in less time.

  6. I'm really glad you tried AoC. I hope we see you play this game on release.

And we appreciate all the takes in the video. Overall, fair take is a must for the state of the game. We all just want an MMO with the company who always care and listens to the community.

  7. The big thing people have to remember is that technically alpha 2 doesnt start till May but its not until late December after the wipe that the alpha gets its first wave of "real" content. Even with that said right now you can 100% pour your entire life into the game during the weekend tests or atm straight through till December 1st with constant content because of the node system and artisan skills or just getting a good idea how the games mechanics work with the basic but grindy leveling process.
As a mostly solo mage i struggled until level 9 fighting basic enemies and then found using a lot of kiting, freeze cc and a shield skill i can solo 1 star minotaurs up to 2-3 levels above me and leveling/making money has felt easy since. Truthfully grouping is only required to fight most 2 and 3 star enemies at the different POIs who drop good or semi consistent gear, or to have less down time resting at least as a mage. Now at level 16 all im doing is artisan skills because i want to get a good idea how in-depth it is and let me tell you as soon as you hit apprentice you already need 2-3 separate apprentice level skills in order to craft apprentice level items and gear. Apprentice alchemy for example it takes mining or herbalism and alchemy to make apprentice potions but mining or herbalism, carpentry and alchemy to make salves that heal more but over time

  8. Finally, A video that doesn't completely s*** on the game because it's buggy and has its issues even though stating previously in a video that it is alpha. Many content creators are having issue with bugs + all the issues that are coming across while alpha testing it…. And seem to forget that this is an alpha. Your job is to report said bugs. You did a great job with the video. Had some great points. + I'm glad to see that the video wasn't a bunch of negative stuff like most other content creators have been

  9. I like the balance of risk versus reward to where you arent punished severely upon death, but just enough to not want to die (especially since im the Cleric) and enough to make you drop off all your stuff in the warehouse before adventuring off to a difficult place.. im still scared to mess with a caravan

  10. All mmos have rabbits, harry poters and such, and is super easy, leveling doesn't matter etc etc. This game is not doing this and people actually have to mention it otherwise players see it as weird. But this is how mmorpgs started like. Not to mention that back in the early days you had to talk to many NPCs to find the destination of quests instead of having arrows that show you where to go. If you are into fast-food this is not fast food.
