In this video I discuss my impressions of the quests and questing in Intrepid Studios highly anticipated upcoming MMORPG, Ashes of Creation. We go over theme park MMOs, sandbox MMOs, the differences between the 2 and how AoC fits in that space.

  2. I'm glad themepark quests are being used properly in introducing "the world" instead of telling a story. But that was an alpha and it would be likely that they kept that kind of quest line from players because that wouldn't be a functional test.

    My only guess so far as to what would happen at launch would be organized guilds would go deep into a map to work on an obscure node (away from normal players) and normal players would constantly keep a node (starter node) in flux (assuming AoC has the foresight to have "unlimited" node restart quests.
