Combat is absolutely in Alpha state. Action Combat needs way more meaning like in GW2 and doesnt automaticly switch when u are in settings or want to interact with NPCs. The Auto Attack on Q makes no sense but on left Mouse doesnt fit either. A Heavy Attack on holding The Button would be nice instead of the deadly Finisher. The Tank only block 10% of the Damage he gets, should be way more higher and use more stamina for it.
Giving the way they structure classes you will have a combination. So if you wanted some damage you would have a dps architype to help that. But you will always be more of a healer the dps playing cleric thats just how it goes.
I was planning on waiting until phase 3 to play. But the game is already looking so good, I really want to play much sooner now.
Proc effects were in WoW….
I think you should be able to just choose to be DPS or utility in a party.
Is it me or this game is just ESO downgrade and all the traits you unlock looks like ESO mastery, no offense but where is the potential in this game? An ESO game that looks and plays like Runescape 3, I'm not appeased 😅😅😅 I know it has a lot of fans that are waiting for next mmo gen, and truly has a lot of ESO players that cheered and sponsored this game, for the money they generated I believe was 50 mil dollars they could easily realeased better especially that if they could easily work with some asian developers for that budget to have and Alpha 2 launched, my question is why this Alpha game didn't play at least the same as the devs were showing before like the Giant fight or the mage skills ? The graphics on those videos were they game play or just boosted graphic mods ? Non implemented into the game just bits and pieces to make us believe is actually gameplay.😊😊😊

Death for a cleric feels like quite a different class fantasy though. I would associate it with only positive things opposed to applying negative effects. So what if there was a choice between "death" mechanics and other buffing mechanics.
I guess they could still apply some debuffs to an enemy to cause something similar when an ally attacks? Maybe consumes a stack? Just the flavour to me, personally, would be more "good" than "evil" feeling

My hopes are NOT high for this game because I did not forget the following:
-Ashes of creation: Apocalypse
-The ingame shop they had (you literally could buy cosmetics in a test)
-Regular overpriced cosmetics + keys sales
-The prices of Alpha 2 test keys

Tab targeting CANNOT become the best combat system on the market 🙂 best it can do is to be acceptable and allow for a lot of control/inputs to make it interesting… If that happens, we will see, for me it looks like a wow copy with very little input which means a low skill ceiling, which means boring combat… But i am open to be convinced when it is released, if there is a public beta

Sitting down to regen resources after large pulls or many pulls reminds me of Archeage and I love it. Will make cooking food, making potions that much more important and useful instead of a buff you press every 1 hour or whatever.
Never buy this game. A greedy company who will charge you to TEST THEIR GAME for them is wild

I do like how graphic looks in general environment and city but I just cant get over the spell animations. To me visual effects look as they are from some other game. And I had that problem since the first time I seen this game. IT just looks out of place and not cohesive.
Hard disagree on the mana regen part. If you have a bard in your party, you will not have mana issues. I see in your 8 person party NO BARD. That's why your mana is so low.
Also, I agree the rations should scale up with artisan crafting but that shouldn't lower the time, it should up the regen.
9:30 bro you literally have Smite and Judgement on your bar. WDYM Those are Cleric's attacks as well as the wave spell, and the flare spell, and the chains spell.

A little off topic, but I am SO excited for cooking as it has always been what I do in games like Valhiem, Core Keeper, and even MC with the use of mods, not a chef irl or anything but something about making goodies for my friends that will help later is cozy.
If they end up keeping being able to master 2 skills I will definitely do jeweling as well, but honestly I really hope they don't keep that as it removes a lot of the feeling of being a master of something when you can do more than 1 thing, plus people seem to forget we can still get really far in other skills, so some level of doing it all yourself is possible, it just wont be the absolute best.

Game looks insanely awful. Horrible graphics design, will look even more outdated in a couple years, good luck with that. Also, combat is a 3/10. WoW is a 9/10, so good luck with that AoC. horrible.

I think they could make action combat work somehow. They gave up on it quietly and switched to soft locking at best. The tab target component feels OK but still very outdated for a game with heavy PvP emphasis
