I think running out of time is an actual competitor beating them to the market (not talking about a Korean MMORPG). If the riot MMORPG comes out first, I don't see it doing well because that will swallow market share. I think theyre in a safe place to release before that.
By the time AOC is ready, GW3 and WOW2 will be out. The combat is still slow to me and not interesting. I just thought the Alpha was going to show me something a little more polished. Still hoping that the game is a success when it comes out. Had fun but not bringing anything new to the table as far as MMO's go.

The reason his arguments felt all over the place and chaotic is litterally because its fondations lies on emotions. I cannon't hear him speech without seeing a dissapointed whinner dude trying his best to look like he isn't.
He was expecting a released game while the bundle he bought says exactly what his purchase was: an "Alpha 2 access key".
Even when he's ranting aobut the outdating stuff. He is talking about the hype dying and interest dying which underline the fact that he is treating this like a release and applying this point of view to all the playerbase. Now you can argue that most of the playerbase treats it as some kind of early access or released game, which i doubt is the case, but making a whole ass argument based on that projected assomption he has is very wild lmao
The road map literally says it's just a server and performance test, and then content and polish will come. So it makes no sense to complain it's buggy and unfinished. I'm actually happy that the FIRST priority for the team is that the game is stable and playable.
I knew this would happen. I absolutly hated how big AAA publishers would give people "Alpha" and "Beta" early access to play a lot of games, and they were NEVER actual Alphas or Betas, just only by name, and conditioned the shit out of tons of people who play games. I knew it was going to happen when they started doing it, so now when we actually have an ALPHA of a game, people expect it to be like a Call of Duty Alpha or some shit. What's even worse is that now you look stupid when giving the "well it's Alpha so don't judge it too hard" speech, because people who fucking say that to the Call of Duty Alphas when that NEVER applied, so now there's even MORE conditioning of gamers. It's so stupid.
I'm sorry to say this, but it is the absolute truth, but the majority of people, most likely including you who is reading, sadly just do not like to think about stuff in terms of gray, only black and white. it's the easiest thing to do, and most people would rather worry about other shit they want to think about with their brains, so they default to black and white ways of thinking. All they see is the word "Alpha" and merge every single definition of that word into one, and never ever differentiate it when that kind of context is needed, which leads to this kind of misunderstanding of what an actual Alpha is that's not a AAA video game.
Hope next weekend is more stable I just want more AoC
They never shouldve brought in open testing of their alpha 2, people are way too stupid to understand what an actual alpha build is supposed to be, and the people that understand what an alhpa 2 should be are too short minded to remember that when they go about criticising the game. AND THEN theres the braindead bots in comments thatll act like theyre just giving their opinion, which they are, except theyre compring it and judging it like every other game thats already released. I enjoyed one weekend of AoC alpha2 WAAAAY more that a whole week of T&L so I’m happy to see where this thing goes

From what I saw this weekend it was enough for me to pony up the $120. The laughs and fun I will have with future friends I meet in game will be worth it. I like what I saw enough to give the dev some money so they can reach the finish line with there vision and even if that never happens I will get my $120 of entertainment out of it along the way.

This literally doesn’t even beat FFXIV 1.0 and that game released in alpha and didn’t take 8 years to fix. They literally revamped the whole game in less time than this crap 😂😂😂
For 8 years its definitely rough, BDO was made in 7 including developing a engine from scratch with a similar size team. Dont get me wrong those BDO open beta videos look very rough compared to what came out on launch but you could definitely see how clean the animations were even at that state.
i wish the best for this game, ill keep an eye from the sidelines over time.
