Ashes of Creation is an open world MMORPG set in a fantasy environment where you can choose different classes and races to adventure through with your friends. Intrepid Studios is the developer behind the game. They’re technically an indie studio, but their creative director Steven Sharif has a clear vision for his video game: Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Game. He wants to put the massive back in MMO. Exploring dungeons, griding for gear, crafting armor/weapons, learning new spells, and competing in large scale PvP battles. High end PvE such as raids will mainly occur in the open world. Bosses will spawn and roam through the land. Are YOU ready to enter the world of Verra?

  1. As somebody who works in the construction trade you can most definitely look at a house under construction and say it sucks. Whether that be shoddily constructed or poor materials or just a poorly planned layout. On the other end of the spectrum even the finish work can ruin a house with great bones and or layout.

  2. To me Ashes got my hyped when it was announced, but the rate of development made me lose a bit of interest. Seeing that 8 years of work has only gotten this far.
Now many of the game mechanics they have said they want to have in their game makes me very happy and makes me want to play the game, but yeah atm it is a name of something that i dont really know will ever be finished.
Or it will be released unfinished.

Also how combat looks has me a bit worried, tho that could just be for now as there are TONS of polish left on that.
tightening up the animations, the effects, the weight etc.

When it releases ill probably give it a try, tho i might be at the seniors home when that happends.

  3. Man, servers just got cut and I was like 3 minutes away from processing all the flax to linen to make the final cloth armor to complete the set. Found a good Cleric skillset you like? I've been focusing on strong single target healing but I think I need to trade the bumps from that initial heal you start with for maybe flash heal or somerhing.

  4. If the game is launch in 2027 like peoples say that mean the peoples who paid the Key for alpha two will have 2/3 years of gameplay for 120$. The game is supposed to be 15$ a month so 120$ is for 8 month of gameplay if we see it like this that mean you will pay for 120$ for 2 years = 24 month = 5$ per month. The only downside i see is your character being deleted from time to time and in the end you wont keep it when the true game launch.
But in this game you HAVE to create multiple characters to play everything and every job too so this shouldn't be a issue to learn each reset how to level up more and more efficiently and improve your skills in the game. (This is how i see this alpha at the moment in the case they need 2 years if they need more it only decrease the price per month you paid for the game)

  5. It will still take at least 2 years, realistically 3 years because there will be always problems. If a really bad setback happens 4-5 years then. Only way they can release within 2 years that they will cut tons of content and release it as pure survival game but i'm pretty sure nobody wants that..

  6. The reason why GW2 combat isn't great is mainly because it has no hitstop animation, and no screenshake on heavy hits. Hitstop animation is what causes that impactful feeling. It's similar to how tekkin combat is.

  7. Great ideas, great setting, but the combat system is BAD. It is pure trash from 20 years ago, literally AI programming can do a better job at combat system. PLEASE, learn from Throne and Liberty, woody ass tab target is shit and will kill the game.

  8. Your out of your Mind if you think this Game is anywhere near Full Release in less then 5 years. Its already later then they wanted it to be and Now a days MMO take something like 8 to 13 years. Just Buckle up and enjoy the Ride and don't worry about Full Release.

  9. To make MMOs great again, I believe the whole scope of immersion, story and world should be revamped. Why are the stories so often about worlds being destroyed and portals to other dimensions. I just want to be a random nobody and a well oiled cog in the system that is the world. This means every action should be tied to the economy and other aspects of the simulation. I just hope AoC doesn't make the player the superhero that saves the world starting from level 1.
