As we get get closer and closer to the most highly anticipated MMORPG game, or should I say alpha, Llewd Lloyd felt it absolutely necessary to have a deep dive and have a heart to heart in what it means to be an alpha tester, what Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director Steven Sharif desires for Ashes of Creation. It is paramount to figure out what feedback is useful, what types of players may enjoy the game, and ultimately get ready for Alpha 2 right around the corner.

Hes correct for 97% of the market this will not be the game for them…and that is going to hurt the game more than the players who misunderstood
I understand their point, but "the game might not be for you" has been said by many developers of failed games in the past couple of years. Both Concord and Dustborn just said this phrase. Just a word of caution, I guess.
My issue at this point is the heavy dependence on groups. This is an issue for me as I'm not on when a lot of other people are. I can see where they want to encourage group play but that is not always possible and it seems there will be a huge penalty there. I'm also concerned about the grind time. I play for fun not as a second job. I see a big power curve problem coming for anyone who is not there first day. While I appreciate the attempt to deal with griefing, you and I both know this will not have a bundle of impact on the people doing it no matter the penalty. I think you also overestimate the trolls being coerced into behaving. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
Thankfully I did realise quite a long time ago that this game isn't for me and that's totally ok.
My concern for the game however is the same one we have all seen before and that is PvE focused players are notorious when it comes to open world PvP and and fully expect them to dogpile on their hate for it.
I say that as a PvE player…. Just not one of those people lol.

I know people who make games want to make a pvp necessary game, but, how many of these games have to fail before they learn that catering to only pvp or pve is a waste of time and money. Forced PvP isn’t for me so clearly I won’t be spending money on this game. This game sounds terrible to me. I hope you have a great time with it. Maybe there is a community out there that will love it. So far they have not supported the other games that tried this. It will be interesting to see what happens. Thanks for this video. It sounds like this game isn’t for most people.

the game still doesn't feel fluid, the movement & combat are the biggest things they should prioritize since its everything in a game
Based on the research I have done.. the best 3v3 comp will be BFT cleave. Bard, Fighter, Tank will be the Meta comp which I plan on running for my Gladiator mount and title for Season 1
What I dont get is why PVE only players find it so hard to just accept every game doesnt need to cater to them and just move on to the next thing…why are they always there asking for the devs to add easy mode. There are genres of games I dont like and if I like the look of a game and find out it fits into those genre's I dislike I just move on with my life, I dont go whine and cry for the devs to add stuff to make sure I will enjoy it.
PvErs are just people who have had bad PVP experiences or haven’t experienced a good PVP game. Ashes is actually a game for everyone, once PVErs get a taste of what a PvX game can offer, they won't ever be able to go back to a boring, unplugged, stale, PvE experience. Having the extra drive for those upgrades, that new crafting recipe, a.k.a. seeing its effects in PVP, is just a kind of crack that no true gamer can resist….
think i've just realised i love the d2 play style of MMO's like BDO, find a spot, grind it like mad, its the same i always did in classic wow as well, found a random spot that had a 0.01% chance of dropping something rare, and i would be there day after day, week after week, i dno i just love grinding away trying to find that 1 rare item. Dungeons, Raids, and PVP is just not for me, dont enjoy it, i just want other players so i can trade with them. I just wish more MMO's implemented other systems like BDO

this is the problem when you let streamers join ALPHA, PTR, DATA MINE the shit out of the game before it even launches then coerce you whether or not the game is for you to get clicks. THE GAME IS NOT OUT YET lol. Dude its barely alpha lol I drop WOW after 20 years to try thrones and liberty. Everybody is like " OH I SAW A VIDEO ITS PAY TO WIN
SO ITS NOT FOR ME " LOL unless you plan on being on the top 1 percent guild that does castle sieges pvp and 2 boss a week pvp guild v guild (1000 vs 1000 players)and have to be online for every event or your kicked yes you can pay to win to contribute. I play all the pve content in the game never even bought a level pass or battle pass pure free to play in thrones and liberty im not even in a guild and theres an event calender if you want to follow and join in co-op event or pvp events whatever you like. as well as co-op instance dungeons and out door dungeons. all this and i didnt listen to you streamers who played up to level 20 in thrones and liberty acting like they eveything about the game in that amount of time i just saw it on steam and tryed it. moral of the story ashes is still developing stop posting videos acting like its a finished product giving your opinion knowing this is very dishonest . when ashes is complete play the game then post a review.
