  1. 30:00 This Answer scared me as a pve player. I always thought that there was going to be large scale pve dungeons Things like that But what that sounded like The game is majority Pvp focused And as a Kickstarter backer I am really disappointed this is not the impression I got When I kick started the game. I wish Steven would name a game that's already out That ashes will be like. Is it trying to be more like.

Also if the game is A PVP focused games it's destined to fail This is not make Mmo's great again what Keeps players engaged is not Pvp it's PVE Not necessarily high end Endgame raiding But you need to have raiding And end game content Like that that's not just Pvp There is no such thing as end game content if it's just Pvp

  2. On the difficult PvE content, I think for those people who are not in the very top guilds, the ones that release strategies for theme park MMOs, a significant amount of difficulty will be added by not having a consistent available strategy guide for high end raids and dungeons, and also not being able to spec player builds entirely for PvE.

  3. PvE players are boned.

This will end up being another Throne and Liberty. Where if you don't want to PvP, you don't get to do much of anything. If you do want to PvP, you're screwed if you aren't in the biggest guild.

Just lost all interest I had in AoC.

  4. I'm really hoping there's good group vs group pvp opportunities and it's not just a zerg fest. I loved roaming in a small – full size group in DAoC. The open world pvp and node wars in Ashes are cool but so far nothing I've seen showcased seems like it'll scratch my itch of the old DAoC 8v8 roaming full group fights. Every game just feels like a zerg fest and I'm not about it. Guess we'll just have to settle for playing a stealth group and being a menace in forced pvp zones if there's no proper group content for my small guild. Hopefully they'll have battlegrounds or arena's that are worth playing in as well at different levels. One of my favorite things from DAoC was being able to turn off xp and keep characters in battlegrounds.

  5. Comment for the algorithm. Happy for you and Else, Nyce. You guys asked harder questions than others have, even if the answers were pretty much the expected.

Now we cross our fingers for the launch of A2! Excited to see what the future holds.

  6. How did you have a whole hour with steven and ask 0 good questions, super disappointing, what pizza do you like? I can think off the top of my head several better questions than anything asked here, this was dreadful

  7. Unfortunate, thought there would be a nice blend of pve and pvp , but pvp focused doesn't seem that attractive imo.

Just seems a little weird to want massive multiplayer , but only want it be applicable to a niche community.

  8. What people don't understand is that they're not making a game as much as they're making a simulation. There will be once in a lifetime events. They wont be rerunning dungeons over and over, acquiring gear and logging off the character for good. There is no completion. When you come back from a long break, your house will have likely been burnt down.

  9. Love the channel and always check in on new AOC updates, do you have any guild recommendations or a community ?don’t have any buddies that have the game but realize this is not a game for solo players. Keep up the great work!

  10. Love the star wars galaxies response mentioning the jedi system. It was amazing, year long commitment, but amazing. You said wow not wow, classic, and should have specified. I think that's a very distinct difference

  11. When I play throne and liberty and see the world and the amount of players in 1 area I get very high hopes for ashes. The bar for what a mmo could look like is set. I know TaL is p2w so skip that part obviously..

  12. You and No1 are very organized and well spoken and I think Steven appreciates that, I know I do. There is a little banter which is great of course but some other AMA’s that others have done are all over the place and hard to follow.
Just great stuff, great questions and great hosts.

  13. the aoe cap dmg kinda disapointing tbh. They should be uncapped however some support classes like a tank should have a solution in their kit to allow for pushing through choke points.

For example tanks get an ability that prevents all aoe dmg to allies withing 10m of the tank for 5 seconds so you can have a tank in each party which allows for the push through choke points.

uncapped aoe dmg often cause front lines to spread out over a larger combat lime which creats a more enjoyable large scale encounter compared to zerg balling.

  14. To be clear then, Intrepid can confortably achieve 300v300 + NPCs right now? The answer sounded like 300players total + 2500 NPCs

Also, in regards to PvE, Steven has talked about difficulty adjustments (not from pvp) in Dungeon Bosses based on performance. That is still a feature right? It would contribute to the competition vs FFXIV and WoW
