  1. I love the effort of everyone providing attentive and alternative ideas and/or potential contradictory logics call outs or reasons …. at least in their opinion…. great show!

  2. One thing I’m concerned about is not being able to participate in world bosses, because they are so heavily tied to nodes. I will enjoy the PvP over those events however I feel there needs to be multiple ways for a major city to be reset. Would give new players something to look forward to and build towards.

I for one would enjoy trying to kill each world boss and have chance to obtain those legendary recipes. It’s great that sieges exist, however there is also a good chance those sieges will fail and then there’s a large CD till they can be fought over again. I feel like there should be a PVE threat to the metropolises as well, like if they’ve been up for a set period of days waves of monsters and giant bosses will come to ruin the cities. Giving limited access to special legendary quests. Will give more players a chance to participate in game changing events.

Regarding their debate over leveling speed, I don’t think it would hurt making it a little slower. However, It really depends on how rich the endgame is with content and if there is a good gameplay loop. If you extend the leveling process to lets say 500 hours, I feel that’s a good margin to ensure that level capped players are competent/experienced. Having played WoW since Vanilla and throughout other expansions, I’ve noticed a decline of experienced players with all the boosting services and GDKP available. With my experience, the enjoyment should come from the leveling process and not just endgame.

  3. I would have assumed Dygz was mature enough not to be sucked into the zoomer ADHD mindset with current MMOs, he's drinking that speed run koolaid. His mindset around leveling encourages the trend of rushing to max level and 'skipping' the journey to arrive at a dead and hollow destination. Classic WoW had its draw for many reasons, but at the top of the list has to be the epic and lengthy journey players experienced. They made friends and enemies along the way, failed and succeeded in a variety of situations and environments, and each level felt like it had the weight and impact that it deserves. When levels and power are spoon fed to the player, the journey is lost. It's like driving at 200 mph directly off a cliff, unaware and unable to take in all of the beauty you just sped by only to realize that there wasn't a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow after all.

  4. Honestly, this whole thing was super painful to watch. I feel like there was consistent, miscommunication, and red herrings chased. Furthermore, I think at least the guy who obviously didn't speak English as a first language communicated himself more articulately than the guy who obviously grew up speaking as the first language.

  5. Dygz has said multiple times that he is not actually going to play the game. he will not pve, he will not pvp, hes gonna run around looking at scenery. its not worth bringing him on for conversations when this is his stated stance.

  6. Dygz is just the type of seasoned casual player, who invests a lot of time into gaming, and wants to be included in the population of hardcore gamers just for the sake of fitting in. Meanwhile, he prefers to play the game for a "hardcore amount of time" (whatever that means), whichever way he wants. This is perfectly OKAY. But there is absolutely no reason as to why he is having these needless arguments with flanker despite being a seasoned hardcore player.

  7. Sorry, man, I tried to watch it, but it's difficult. DYGZ should learn how to listen to others without interrupting them constantly. It's not even a discussion when others can't freely explain their point of view

  8. I think DYGZ main point was 225 hours is a long time for someone to level up one path so making it longer(3x longer in your words 675 hours) would not feel good and MOST people don't or can't play 4-6 hours a day. the game won't end at lvl 50 which im sure will be lvl cap and they will increase it and add more content later. I personally don't wanna be able to level up super quickly but i also don't want it to be a slug fest to get there so finding the balance will be done through alpha and beyond. Can't wait for the actual game to come out!

  9. Having long leveling sounds good at first for the first players but a year later the new players will have it hard specially if there are lots of group content while leveling. This will make them feel left out of the big news or updates for end game players. Will be lots of power leveling for sure.

  10. Cheers to you for keeping so coool and patient about so much confrontation and interruptions! Also the Leveling experience should be more than half the fun of the game, it seemed like he just wants things to be on the (less work for more reward) side… so it seems like AoC will probably not be for him, cause it will hopefully take longer to hit max level in AoC than Vanilla WoW took. I hope it does!

  11. You and Dygz just aren't on the same page haha, and my head canon is LegendaryNeurotoxin is gaming away the first hour.

Haven't watched any of yalls content, but I have read your posts. Incredibly difficult debating Min/Max with a role playing. Completely different spectrums of gaming but both equally enjoyable. I woulda say yall are debating how to enjoy and play MMO's.

Cool discussiont though, sort of what was expecting due to lack of live information we have available. Looking forward to more of these as we move into A2!

  12. I think Flanker has been watching too many Narc videos. As someone who played the Alpha 1 ( which is basically irrelevant now since they switched to UE5 ), this game in all it's epic glory will function as intended come official launch. Yes, there will be bugs, broken quests and all that which comes naturally with any MMO launch. However, this discussion is about Alpha 2, not the official launch. If you're expecting a complete, bug free game next year, forget it. It's like people who purchase Early Access games on Steam and then complain when the game isn't finished or complete. Common sense is something of a rare trait these days.
